Back to Normal…Again

After a weekend of sickies I've de-funked the house with BLEACH and we are back to normal. Well, sorta.  My family is never fully normal but we try hard. Ha Ha. 24 hours after Alexis had antibiotics on board she was feeling fabulous.  Running around like my normal girl again.  Hearing the kids giggle has been music to my ears.  I hate when my kids are sick.

I took a day off yesterday from stamping and literally spent 6 hours cleaning and laundry.  It had to be done.  This made for a creative Monday.  I like when that happens.  I've been working on all kinds of projects.  I was lucky to have my bestie in the stamp room this morning helping me with some stamping projects too.  I love when Denise can come visit because we can make LOTS happen in my stamp room.  While we were stamping today we listened to the Piano Man tune the ole' Player Piano.  It was pretty unbearable until the very end when he finally played a song!  It sounded beautiful.  Now if someone in our house could learn to play the piano I will be very happy. We played a few piano rolls tonight and Russ and I danced in the piano room.  We smooched and the kids just giggled.  They are so funny.  Sigh!

I have another Blossom Builder card to share tonight.

I was inspired by a card in the Occasions Mini on page 18.  I followed the same design almost and tweaked it a little for my class because we used the Hat Pins.  I love these colors and I'm not one to typically use bright colors.  I'm finding myself drawn to them more and more.  You can see that bright colors are very trendy in the fashion world too.  Again, I highly recommend the Blossom Builders Kit because it's a fast and fun way to make lots of cards.

I've still been going strong with My Digital Studio too. I have a layout to share.  I'm working on a 3-D project using the program as well.  I am super excited about it and can't wait to share.  Here is the layout:

I couldn't wait to scrap this moment.  Since I was nursing my girl back to health I didn't want to leave her side and work in my stamp room.  I brought my stamp room next to her bedside with my laptop.  WHOO HOO! Now that is awesome.  *giggle*  I can't help it. I have to share one more….

I'm going to work harder to describe which downloads I am using in my next posts.  I've been paying more attention to learning than what product/downloads I'm using and I realize this is not helping you at all.  I will pay closer attention.  ;)

Hope you had a FABULOUS Monday.

XOXOXO

  1. Love your digital studio pages. It makes me happy to read your postings and see that your family is back together again and thanks for sharing your tender moments. What a light to see!

  2. Carol Carriveau

Bright and wow….again, colors I would not think to put together but SU! has taken care of that for us….thankfully!

  3. I just love this photo of your son holding your hand. Makes my heart smile, as I am sure it does yours. Glad you are able to digitally scrap it. You certainly have a wonderful gift.

  4. I get so many great ideas from your MDS layouts.  I love the second layout! –I'm actually trying to CASE the layout for a photo of my daughter, and I can't figure out what stamp set you used at the bottom to create the Russian script. behind the Beau Chateau stamp.  Do you happen to remember?

  5. Juliana, the script you are speaking of comes from the Downtown Grunge Designer Kit. It’s a stamp brush. 🙂 I hope that helps you create. Thank you for your sweet comments. 🙂
