Tis the Season

It's the season of sickness. Especially in my house. My poor kids can't catch a break.  It's typically not this bad but the past two weeks it's been something.  We had a busy weekend of plans scheduled however things changed pretty quickly with Alexis. Poor girl is down with Strep. She is devastated because she was supposed to attend the Father/Daughter dance tonight with her Brownie Troop.  I was so sad for her. Russ decided to have his own little dance at home.  It was the sweetest thing and once I seen him getting his uniform on I started to cry.  I knew how much this dance meant to her because she has been talking about it for weeks.  He came down the stairs and she smiled.  She didn't even get up from the couch because her head hurt.  He came over and gave her a pretty corsage and asked if he could have one dance with her.  She did. It was a great moment, even if it only lasted a minute. Here is a few quick pics. I have others I took on my camera but haven't tweaked them yet.

Regardless, this man never ceases to amaze me. He always knows how to make us happy. I love him.

I played and made this layout last night.

This got me excited to work on my Paris album and FINISH it.  At least I have one layout complete.  I used two digital vintage overlays on this layout to make the Whisper White a little more grungy looking.  I didn't want it stark white.  Love that you have the ability to do that with this program.

Hope your Saturday was fantastic.  Make your Sunday the best.

XOXOXO

  5. What a great dad Alexis has!  So sad she had to miss the dance, but he made up for it.  So thoughtful!  When Alexis gets older, it's going to take quite the guy to sweep her off her feet!
