Awesome in October!

October

It’s here! October 1st has arrived and it’s going to be AWESOME.

Ya’ll, that’s the way I have to think. Although things around me might say differently, I’m going into this new month with an attitude of AWESOMENESS!

Have you ever noticed when things are not going the way you would like but you continue to press on and face things with a positive light all things seem to flow better.

I’ve put my positive pants on and plan to sport them this month. Here is one of the reasons I had to put my positive pants on…

If you remember we recently adopted Tanner, a Foxhound pup. Well, he’s almost a year old now and he’s a pretty lucky pup.

Lucky Dogs
Honestly, his name should have been Lucky.  Lucky to be alive right now.  Remember, he is the pup that had the snake bite.

Well, dear Tanner was teething and enjoyed our antique couch to soothe his gums…

Oh No!

Our antique fainting couch will be getting a makeover thanks to Tanner.  Yes, he chewed the ENTIRE backing off the couch.  Not kidding.  Luckily for him I have my positive pants on otherwise he might be in bigger trouble.

I love my dogs.

I love my dogs.

I love my dogs.

All better. Bring on October!

Snow Place Stamp Set

Snow Place Stamp set, Stampin' Up!

While I’m not at all thrilled with winter around the corner, I can enjoy this adorable stamp set Snow Place and get my snow fix.  To make the “snow hills” I used an Oval Framelit and trimmed off the excess that was not needed once mounted onto the Whisper White Embossed Trees.

I had Mr. Penguin stand on a piece of Ice… Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper that is.  Worked perfectly for the look I was trying to achieve.

Tips & Tricks

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before but I’m a huge fan of doubling my Bakers Twine to wrap and tie bows.  The reason I do this, because it’s MUCH easier to tie.  The bow lies flat and doesn’t curl.  Give it a try and tell me what you think.

Hopefully we all slip on our positive pants and make October AWESOME!   Are you with me?

Stop It Now!! You are killing me with the cute Snow Place samples because I do not own this set!! Maybe you should use Snow Place for one of the stamps in the mail, so I will have a good reason to purchase it!
