Hootie Hoo- It’s MDS Blog Hop Friday!

I'm super excited about today's blog hop.  This week's theme is OWL's or birdies. It was hard to choose between the two but I needed to kill two birds with one stone  Bwhahahhaha.  I crack myself up.  Let me explain.  I wanted to make my Girl Scouts a little treat for our meeting on Monday.  I have 24 girls so I obviously I need something fast.  I have flipped flopped on my ideas for over a week. There are so many great ones.   Then I had a bright idea.  HYBRID!  I do NOT use this option like I should.  I think I've lost my marbles because it was EASY PEASY!  Let me show you!

My tag on this little treat bag is all made with MDS.  I made this to fit my 2 1/2" Circle punch and then placed 10 of these on a 8.5 x 11 Sheet of Whisper White cardstock. Then it was just a matter of punching the image out, placing it on a Scallop Die Cut and placing it on my Treat bag.  DONE!  I used the Treat Bags in the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kits and filled them with Chocolates.  The bag was then closed using a Perfect Plum Top Note Die Cut and a small piece of the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP.  To make the Digital image pop just a little more I spritzed the image with Basic Black ink with my Spritzer Tool and added the Googlies.  Fast, and fun!

Because this project was so simple I thought of other ways to use this same basic design but on two other projects:

This project was made using the small cello bags.  We do not carry these anymore but I had a plenty on hand.  I covered the chocolate using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP and placed a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock inside the bag to make it stand out a little more.

One more… This time I used the larger Cello bags that you can purchase now.  I did the exact same as above but used a larger chocolate.

As you can see the possibilities are endless.  One quick little tag, so many things you can do! I've created a FREE Printable for you today so you can make these fun treats yourself.

Just an FYI, the PDF link is not working for me if I click on it.  If I try to right-click it, a little bit will download (121KB) but then it tries to open and tells me it is either not a supported file type, or that it has been damaged.
