Winding Down Valentines!

I say I'm winding down with my Valentines projects but the reality is I've still got a lot of Valentines to make. How could that possibly be? I have everything cut and ready to go for the kids classrooms.  I have Valentines baskets ready for the teachers and projects that need a few final touches before they can go in their baskets.  Then Mr. Prince gets one daily.  What have I created? Madness!

Here is my Valentine Card tonight:

I'm determined to really use my cute Love Impressions Rub On's to the fullest.  I think I've just about accomplished that.  I love how these rub ons have images that can run the entire length across a card.  Makes designing a card very simple, really.  Have you noticed how trendy the color Gray is? You see it everywhere in the Fashion Industry and I love it because it's neutral and you can throw any color with it.  I used the Always Elegant stamp set with Basic Black ink across the top half of the card.  This is a very elegant stamp set. Almost delicate looking.  I really like it.  While this stamp set has WEDDING written all over, I think it works for Valentines too. I used the Extra Large Decorative Label punch and cut it in half. Then I used the XOXO rub on onto Sahara Sand cardstock and punched it out with the Oval Punch.  It's a simple tag, but it did the trick.

I cannot believe it's the end of the week.  My body feels it and my mind is on hyper drive!  I'm whipped.  I've poured myself into a few projects this week and one project I would like to work on this weekend is sleep.  Have you ever been so tired that you put face cream on your tooth brush instead of tooth paste?  If you notice my pearly whites have no "wrinkles" on them you'll understand.   I think I'll get some rest this weekend.

Tomorrow is another great day of stamping and meeting new friends.  I'll be sharing a fun make n take project with another 40 women at a MOPS event. I can't wait.

I hope your weekend plans are getting into shape.  I have one other thing besides sleep I would like to accomplish.  I told my Prince we are going to an antique store this weekend.  YIPPIE!!!  Vintage Treasures here I come.

Tell me, are you up for another Burning Questions round? These are always fun! May be a good time since there are no bugs around. <wink>

What are your BURNING questions you have for me? Business, Creative? Questions will be taken and compiled until Tuesday, February 15.  Then I will put another video together once I have them compiled.

Have a FANTASTIC Friday!

  1. Love the simplicity of the card, but with a not so simple look.  I'd love to see what vintage treasures you score and what you plan to do with them!

  3.  love each and every one of your ideas and your attention to detail! I know you travel and take wonderful pictures. What kind of camera do you use? My daughter is doing a summer abroad study program and will be needing a new camera-one that is easy to use and light weight for her travels, but one that will  take great shots. i know you can help.

  4. Hi Kimberly I am so inspired by your work and you create beauty in all that you do.  I will be watching your questions video with anticipation hehe.  Question. . .Do you always think of SU when you create?  I mean do you create purely for pleasure using other products or has it always been SU?  I absolutely love the way you use SU products in a vintage way and with all the new vintage products it has made it easier but you have been doing it longer than the new products.  Also when things go out of the catalogue do you get rid of them or keep them in your stash?
    Thanks Kimberly

  5. Hi Kimberly! I, too, love your style! I've been tagging along with you on your journey since I read an email from you asking the "yahoo group" if anyone had ever done stamps/scrapbooking/projects through the mail because you were moving from FLA to CO! Take a look at how far you've come~ GO Girl! My question is How are you going about re-establishing your business in a new place? What steps do you take? Do you make cold calls to groups like MOPS? I need to broaden my customer base and since you are QUEEN of STARTING OVER in my book, I'd really like to know your secrets!!!!! Thanks sooo much for sharing your talents and videos, we love them!

  6. My burning question is how much supplies do you keep on hand? I've just started to have more people show up at events and I'm finding that I don't have enough Whisper White or Cherry Cobbler. I know I could just buy a ton of cardstock but I dont want to go broke either. LOL.  How do you plan for events and do you limit how many come? I hate to turn anyone away.
BTW, I love your blog and all the fun projects you post. You are one of the few blogs I go to everyday.
