Time to be Sweet!

How about Sweet Always?  I used a ton of that paper over the past couple of days doing a scrapbook layout as well as a card.  I really love that paper.  Every sheet in the pack is just yummy!  Let me share with you what I have been working on!  My scrapbook club met tonight.  They are a CRAZY fun group and always a joy to have in my stamp room.  Before I show you this layout, I will explain the reason this layout came to my mind.  If you watch any kind of news lately it’s so depressing.  With the Current Affairs going on in our world it’s something I felt that should be scrapbooked.  I have a diverse scrapbook club.  Some with kids, some without.  Some have older kids out of the house.  Either way, I thought the title "Current Affairs" was appropiate for our club.  So much of scrapbooking I see today is more about the pictures than the journaling.  Journaling should be the key to our scrapbooking so we can remember the memories.  🙂  I want my kids to remember the financial crisis our country is going through as well as many other current affairs that have happend throughout the year.  What great documentation of "life"!   You will have to excuse the NAKED-NESS of this layout.  My pictures and news clippings haven’t made it to my layout yet due to my kiddo’s being sick.  Not a worry…. they will make it on there.

Here are the layouts!Current Affairs

This first layout I want to put different news clippings to show what our world is like today.

On this layout I will use pictures showing current affairs that are happening in our family.  For instance my daughter started Kindergarten.  My grandmother passed away.  Things that we want to remember throughout the year that occured.

Okay, so how about the products??  I used a couple of big shot items: Loopy Flowers, and the Tulipe Bigz Die.  I used lots of accessories on this page including clips, and library clips.  How about those Flower Fusion Too flowers?  I just love those.  I used the Polka Dot Background Stamp, Sweet Celebrations, Contemporary Alphabet and Big Deal Numbers stamp sets. Phew!  Busy!

One last thing!  Gotta share a fun card I made last night.  Yippie.

Sweet Always

Keeping with the Stampin’ Up! Birthday Celebration and my FAVORITE cupcake stamp set I enjoyed making this card.  The top layer of designer paper reminds me of a fun bakery shop and we are looking in the window at those yummy cupcakes.  I stamped the cupcakes on Kraft cardstock with Stazon and then colored them in using Whisper White Craft ink and an aqua painter.  I used the pink Cosmo Glitter on the cake stand.  Once again I used my Polka Dot Background stamp.  Very fun stamp to use with the cupcakes stamp.  Just happy!!

Here is a close up!
