Wahoooo! It’s FRIDAY. Are you excited? Plus it’s a LONG weekend.
Honestly, the only thing I can think about is sleeping in.
My amazing germ ridden kids decided to share their awesome cold. Now I’m sporting a beautiful red nose and sound like I’m in a tunnel. It’s real pretty friends. Real pretty.
Nevertheless, I have something fun to share.
You know I’m all over a fun color challenge and even more so when I’ve got the sniffles.
Since my brain is a FOG it’s nice that I didn’t have to think really hard.
I decided to use a NEW stamp set called Your Presents. I’ll be honest. I wanted something solid to stamp. Easy. No cutting. Stamp and run.
Does that make sense?
This set was perfect. I stamped all the little gifts onto Whisper White cardstock and then used my Paper Trimmer to trim them down perfectly.
You can see here in the close up I popped a few of the gifts with dimensionals. I also added a little bit of the Basic Black Bakers Twine.
Tip: I’ve noticed when tying bows with Bakers Twine that if I only use one strand the bow never lays the way I would like. Try a double strand of twine and then tie your bow. It lays flat just like you want every time. No curling, or crazy turning of the twine. Give that a try.
For the greeting I added another new stamp set and AWESOME new punch- The Holly Jolly Greetings has lots of great holiday greetings that are perfect for your holiday projects. You know… comfort, peace, merry… and jolly. These are just a few. ALSO- this is a perfect set for my Project Lifer’s. The words are perfect for word art or to add to journaling cards. It’s a versatile set. LOVE IT.
The Your Presents stamp set also coordinates with the Handpicked Framelits Dies. That’s how the tiny black bow was created.
Overall, I love these colors together. It’s got that vintage/retro vibe.
The last thing I added was the Metallics Sequins (you can see the clear and white sequins on the card). Guess what… I didn’t know there was CLEAR sequins. Umm- game changer. Now I need more of that particular sequin pack because clear goes with everything. Jeesh. Just when I think I have a handle on the new catalog I’m thrown another curve ball. CRAZY.
Now it’s your turn to play along with the challenge. I hope you will. This challenge group is made up of the best designers. They create beautiful cards. You can see them all HERE. Create a card using this color challenge and leave a comment below that you did so I can go check it out.

I love your card today…simple but festive with the sequins. Really like the additional bling they add. FYI – I have noticed recently that I am only receiving about half of blog post notifications coming into my email. Yesterday’s is another I did not receive an email for. Thanks for what you post. Love your color combos.
Thanks Kay. Are you subscribed to the feedblitz rss feed? If that is the case, that could be the reason. If you’re subscribed through feedblitz let me know. I will contact them and try to fix that. XOXO
I adore this card KVD! Pure Perfection!
