Today I’m sharing a fun video on creating paper loops that will add a little interest to your card.

Creating Paper Loops, Stampin' Up!

This card was completely inspired by these candies below.  Have you ever had them?

Creating Paper Loops, Stampin' Up!

When I started playing around with the Candy Cane Christmas Suite, the candies instantly came to mind.

I had to put the idea to the paper test and see if it could come to life.

Click on the video below to learn how I created the fun paper loops.

3D Box and Christmas Tags

3D Box and Christmas Tags

I’ve been so excited to share this little 3D Box and Christmas Tags with you. They have been sitting on my desk waiting patiently for me to shoot the video so you could create this right along with me.

This box could be used for many things but today I want to share how I created it to hold Tags.

3D Box of Tags, Festival of Trees, Stampin' Up!

When I was rummaging through my stamp cabinet I noticed I had not used the stamp set Festival of Trees once this Christmas Season.  This set was perfect for this project. This is also a bundle which means you can get a great price for the stamp set and the coordinating punch. Just click on the pictures and you can see it directly.

3D Box of Tags, Festival of Trees, Stampin' Up!

I used the Festival of Trees throughout the entire project and added a few embellishments.  You can see all the products  I used in the clickable links below.

Create It!

How about  you create along with me? See how quick and simple this 3D box is to create and I know you can come up with a ton of other uses for this box.

As I stated in the video I wanted to show you all of the tags so you can re-create these as well.  This would make a great gift for a teacher or friend.

Tips & Tricks

Because these tags are a bit bulky they did not all fit in my box.  Because of the added embellishments I maxed out at 3 tags in the box.

The Bermuda Bay 1/8″ Stitched Ribbon is a brand new ribbon coming out January 5th.  It’s a beautiful ribbon and easy to work with when making bows.

Here are each of the tags below:

It’s your turn.  I hope you enjoy the 3D box and the tags created for it.  I can’t wait to hear what you create.  Make sure to tell me.  I love when you share your creativity with me.

Sour Cream Box- Tutorial

Sour Cream Box- Tutorial

This Sour Cream Box post has been a LONG LONG time coming and I know that it will make one person in particular happy.  First I have to express my sincere gratitude for her patience in waiting for this tutorial to come to life.

Back in July I made my team some of these Sour Cream Boxes below and said I would share how I created them.  …. 4 months later… Kimberly comes to the rescue.

Here is the original Sour Cream Boxes I created:

Today I am going to share 3 different Sour Cream Boxes that you can create.  Below is a video on how I created them.

I know …. 2 videos in a row this week.  WHOA! It’s been a good week in my stamp room.  Actually, an unusual one.

Here are all three together.  Each one a bit different the way they are embellished. This is what I’m excited to share about today.

Do you find that you have a ton of great products lying around your crafting space but you are unsure how to utilize them for the right things?

Make sure to watch the video below, it’s there you will see how layering some of the most common products we have on hand can be used and in abundance.

Halloween Treats Made Easy

I used the Sweet Hauntings stamp set for this Sour Cream Box.  The Note Tag punch coordinates perfect with this stamp set.

Christmas Treats Made Easy

Below are two Christmas themed Sour Cream Boxes, and the last box is the one I share how to create in the video.

Both of these will show you how to create using the Winter Wonderland DSP along with the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack placed together. This gives a unique look that I loved.  As if it wasn’t elegant enough using the Winter Wonderland DSP alone, the Vellum just added double the elegance.

The tag for this box above comes from the Oh, What Fun stamp set.  Excellent greetings in this set and the fonts are awesome.

I have one last little Sour Cream box I created long ago using modeling paste and a stencil.  This was a much smaller Sour Cream Box but oh so fun with the tassels.

I’ve made plenty of Sour Cream Boxes over the years because it’s the one box that comes to mind when I’m in a pinch for something sweet and cute.

I hope this gives you tons of ideas on different ways to create them.  Whether you are using Designer Series Paper or cardstock, more than likely these are supplies right at your finger tips ready to create with.

Silver or Gold? You Decide!

Silver or Gold? You Decide!

Today I feel like I have ants in my pants because I’m so excited to share my cards with you AND a video.

Did you just faint?

It’s been so long since I’ve been able to do a video for my blog and whats even more exciting is I have another ready to go as well.

My card today is the same design but one is done in Silver and the other Gold.  I can’t wait to hear from you on which catches your eyes more, Silver or Gold?

Silver or Gold, Jolly Christmas , Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

It’s so hard for me to decide.  I love gold and especially the black and gold stripes on that Winter Wonderland DSP.  It’s so classy looking.  I love the silver because it’s so wintery looking.  Then the antlers… Oh my DEER.  <giggle>

Before you decide silver or gold, let me show you a few more pics.

I couldn’t help it when I added my Gold splatter from my Smooch Pearlized Pigment ink.  It literally called out my name on my desk.

Now, check out the silver all glammed up.

Silver or Gold, Jolly Christmas , Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Isn’t it wintery looking.  I imagine icicles hanging from that Silver Glimmer Paper.  Shoot. This card would be perfect for those going through menopause.  Perfect extinguisher for hot flashes.  Ha ha ha.

I crack myself up sometimes.

Kinda boring laughing alone.  Hope you are laughing too.

Okay! Now it’s your turn to help me decided.  Silver or Gold?  Which one would YOU pick?

See the creative process for this card below in a quick video.

Have a spectacular day!

XOXOXO

Staying Put & A Winner!

Staying Put & A Winner!

I’m not sure where to start today.  I’m completely humbled from all of your comments.  I want to answer all of them…. it might take a little while but give me time.
I’m blown away by how many of you took the time to comment.  I totally get busy lives, but your comments were so kindly written… I’m truly thankful.

I guess the first thing I want to say is… I’m not going anywhere and blogging will always continue. Although there are many things I want to quit lately, blogging isn’t one of them.  It was great to hear from you because sometimes the silence is deafening.   However, I also know how busy life gets.  I pray everyday for it to slow down a bit and nothing has changed.  I’ll continue to pray about that.

I was also relieved to see so many still read blogs.  I was really taken back when I had read that article.  I can see how other social media becomes popular because it’s faster and especially with today’s  craziness it makes life easier.  As one of you stated in  your comments it social media tends to lack the personal side.  Lord knows I have shared my own dirty laundry with you, a few times.  You’ve been up close and personal with me a few times.

Truth be known, I want to write daily.  I have piles of stuff waiting to be shared with you.  I’m not kidding.  Some days it’s not a lack of time to write as it is the heart to write.  I love love love to share with you.  Honestly, I wish you were all here to actually stamp with me.  Wouldn’t that just be the best time EVER???

Over the last few months I think it’s been the hardest since Russ had his stroke.  We’re trying to find our way into a new normal.  Plus dealing with the onset of teenagers… let me stop there.  Don’t get me wrong, we have everything to be grateful for.  BUT… finding that new normal is SO not easy when you know how much of the normal has changed. It’s dealing with that change.  Somedays are so easy and others… well let’s just say it’s not.  It can be a very dark place.  A place I’m not use to and a place I don’t like.

Of course if it wasn’t for my faith I’m sure my life would look much different.  Let me say this too… there are days I wonder where God is.  Why did this happen? What is He trying to teach me? Where can He use me? All of these things are constantly going on in my tiny little brain.  Scary, huh?? It’s when I ask God these things something crazy divine happens and I know once again He is right here with me and these crazy people in my house.

Again, I’m truly thankful you are reading.  I am thankful that you love to create.  It’s a shared passion that you and I have.  I’m here to share it with you.  I have something pretty to share today and I even have a VIDEO.  (If you fell out of your chair I hope you are okay…)

Now to pretties… and a WINNER.

Butterfly Basics, Patina Technique, Stampin' Up!

When I created this card I stumbled upon a little technique. I’m sure some one genius came up with this already as mine was purely a mistake.  But.. I loved the look after it was finished.

It reminds me of Patina.  That aged look you can get on wood or metal. Kinda greenish, typically more of a bronze look… but today I’ll take it in GOLD.

Butterfly Basics, Patina Technique, Stampin' Up!

You can see how I created it below in this short video…

Butterfly Basics, Patina Technique, Stampin' Up!
 Oh, and before we go….

When do teenagers care about the way they look? Especially boys? Thursday night Brandon went to bed with a t-shirt on backwards.  Friday when he came home from school he was wearing the same t-shirt still backwards.  Help me baby Jesus!!  The good news is he smelled great.  He loves his fancy cologne.  See, always something positive.
