When Stampin' Up! took away my most precious DSP- Limited Edition, it was a sad day. The good news is I can recreate this designer paper in a fun new way using Antique Books.
One of the many things I love to find at antique shops are old OLD books. In fact some of them are so old they will fall apart in your hand. These are my favorite.
For the card below I tore a page from my antique book (GASP!) and promptly placed it on my card front. Already I could see the possibilities and the card was quickly coming together.
I stamped the hexagon image using Smokey Slate onto the scrap piece of Antique paper and used my Hexagon punch to punch them out. You can see I simply layered these pieces directly on top of the previous antique paper. I did add a touch of sewing only becasue I love the look. Remember, this is QUICK stitching and nothing fancy. A seamstress would DIE if they could see this stitching close up. All is well….
The next step was stamping the little banner using teh Show & Tell 1 Photopolymer stamp set #133450 onto the I Am Me designer series paper.
Tip: To quickly attach the small banner so it will stay I used my glue gun. I applied a little hot glue at the top of the banner and it sticks like a charm. I'm often asked which hot glue gun I use. You can find it HERE.
