Running FAST!

Yes! I am the one who is roller skating every where I go lately!  WOW it's been busy! A few quick updates on family- STREP is in the house… AGAIN!  My kids are famous for weekend illness and they also love to do it after 5pm when Urgent Care is closed.  Do you understand or take pity on me? Alexis couldn't keep her germs at bay and kindly shared them with Brandon.  Poor Brandon was really sick.  It's been awhile since my kids put me in the "FREAK" out zone but Brandon did it this weekend.  Brandon not only had strep but an ear infection.  Poor guy was one big GERM!  He was put on a powerful Antibiotic that just didn't work for him.  Let's just say it didn't stay in his tummy long. :/ Finally I was able to get him seen by his regular Doctor and he is now on a different antibiotic and we have a new kid again.  For 2.5 weeks I've had sick kids. I hope that we are on the mend!

In between thermometer checks I get a little stamping done.  Tonight I have another Sneak Peek card for you.  New products always get me really excited.  This card is small but mighty! This is a 3 x 3 card using the new Framed Four stamp set and Paisley Prints Designer Series Paper! WOW!

Here are a few tips when making this card:

*I used Stampin' Up! Watercolor Paper when I stamped the label.  I used Early Espresso craft ink and embossed with Clear embossing powder. BEFORE you stamp the label- stamp your background of choice very lightly.  Then stamp your label image.  You can see the En Francais background image inside the label.  It was stamped lightly with Peach Parfait ink.

* I stamped the sentiment "friend" from Fabulous Phrases onto Crumb Cake cardstock and punched the image out using the Jewelry Tag Punch.  It fits perfectly! I placed a Vintage Trinket Brad into the top of the Jewelry Tag Punch.  Another perfect fit.

*The two pieces of ribbon are set in place with the one Antique Brad at the top of the label image.

*The bird image was colored using a Blender Pen and Peach Parfait ink.  I let the Peach Parfait ink dry and then went back over the birds belly with Pumpkin Pie ink to brighten the image just a little bit.

So glad your kids are on the mend.  Okay, I have that wonderful punch and I will definately have to have this stamp set that goes with it.  Cute! Cute! Cute!

  6. Hi~
I love this card!  And, I really like how you told us step by step how to make it! Thank you! That little bird is wonderful!  The dp really got to me, however!  Gorgeous…and I have never been a "peach" type person before!  Thank you for taking the time to explain the steps to make the card…especially with ill children around. I just may need to look at SU! Peach and see what it really looks like.
I am sorry to hear about your children's illnesses.  I completely understand about how they get worse after the doctor's office closes.  When Joshua was a baby he would often get temps of 104 degrees!  That is so dangerous for a baby!  It would always happen at night…like 2 or 3 am, and on any National Holiday.  I was fortunate to have a doctor who would go down and open his office at any hour of the night for us.  God Bless Him!
Try to take a few minutes for yourself.  Try to get 10 minutes to relax in a tub.  Do something to "refill" yourself…you have been on "Super Mom Mode" for 2.5 weeks, if not their whole lives.  You need to rejuvenate to keep going at this pace.  Trust me on this one!!!
Looking forward to the tutorial.  Is there a sale going on right now?  Is the booklet on your page?  Please answer only if your children are fever free and well.  Otherwise, get in that tub!
