Oh No! Life Without These Favorites?

Oh No! Life Without These Favorites?

Life without some of my favorites of crafting supplies….

Yes, it’s that time of year when the retired list rolls out and I find myself rolling my eyes 1000x when I start to create and sadness overcomes my body knowing many of the greats are going away.

Don’t get me wrong, some retiring items I have no problem saying goodbye to.  Others take my breath away.

Today’s card has just about everything that made me GASP!  Truly, some of my favorite items.

Favorites, Hot Diggity Dog, Stampin' Up!

Hot Diggity Dog

I love animals! Dogs, cats, guinea pigs, fish… that’s pretty much the zoo I have in my house right now.

When there is any animal stamp set, I typically have it and especially a dog image.  Honestly, I’m a sucker when it comes to any dog image.

The Hot Diggity Dog stamp set has been a favorite not only for the dog images, but the greetings are so fun too.

Can this dog be any sweeter? And the little flower on her head? Be still my heart!

Kraft & White Corrugated Paper

This past catalog season I’ve throughly enjoyed using our Kraft & White Corrugated Paper.  I love the texture that it gives to any project and excellent due to the two color choices- Kraft and White.

I added a simple strip of the Kraft Corrugated to break up the blues in the card.

Designer Buttons

Slowly over the last few years I’ve noticed a decrease in the use of buttons.  I’ve always loved them and how they look on cards. Stampin’ Up! has always had a fantastic selection of buttons and our designer buttons come in so many great colors that coordinate with our products.   WIN!

I used the Subtles Designers Buttons for this card and I love those teeny tiny buttons.  They are so so cute.

Schoolhouse Designer Series Paper

There is an array of our Designer Series Papers that I have loved this year and one of my favorites has been the Schoolhouse Designer Paper.

This is a pattern paper that can be used in so many other ways outside of the “school” theme.  This card is a perfect example of that.

While many of our favorites will be retiring, I know so many more new things are coming.  They are great things.  This is why I love papercrafting.  The constant roll over of new products is what keeps me excited even when my favorites are leaving.

One thing to keep in mind with retiring products is the “while supplies last!”  This is for all of our retiring products.  Currently there are quite a few of the items that are no longer available.  Contact me to check availability.

You can see all products used for the card above in the clickable links below.

Lastly, I wanted to share one last project I found from Stampin’ Up! using this stamp set and Designer Paper.  Truly, a match made in heaven.

  1. Such a cute card! This would make a great baby card with those adorable animals in the Made With Love set! Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Adore your work! This card is perfection. Did you spritz something on the blue cardstock or is it DSP?

  3. Hi Mary, first thank you. I appreciate your kind comments. To get the splatter on the card I used my Aqua Painter dipped in ink then I take my bone folder and tap the painter over my card. This gives a nice even splatter. I used Early Espresso and Pool Party ink. 🙂 XOXO
