Sometimes we just have to jump out of our comfort zone and take a leap of faith that what we are about to do is going to be okay. I believe this has been my life for the last three weeks. Taking a few risks, diving into things you are not comfortable with at all but somehow knowing that the end result will work.
I won't go into all the details but this does sum up my life right now. Long story short we put a bid on a foreclosed home in Pensacola. We just got the word a few days ago that our offer went through and we are on our way to buying a new home and selling the current.
I'm not worried about the new house. Although it is a foreclosure and it needs work, we'll be able to make it our own. That should be a little fun, right?
It's my current house that has me all in a tizzy lou. My girlfriend realtor came over yesterday and we have to stage my house to sell. I'd rather poke my eyes out with ice picks than get this house "staged!" Basically I'm going to take half my home and put it in a box. Ummm…. "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
You'll know what I'm doing over the next few days….
To keep in the spirit of "not typical for me…" I decided I would create with a stamp set that is not typical for me either.
I've had the base of this card sitting on my desk for over a week. I just wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. I've used Mosiac Madness a dozen times and while I love that stamp set I really needed to use another set. I pulled the Flower Shop stamp set out and my brain went BLANK!
But then I thought about the coordinating punch that goes with this set and things started clicking. Now I was on a roll….
Can you relate?
In just a few short minutes (SERIOUSLY!!) this card came together. It's not typical of me to use flowers. Not a huge fan but when I can ink, stamp and punch… now you are talking my kind of stamping. EASY! I love how Stampin' Up! makes the creative process so easy for paper crafters.
Enjoy today's card and say a little prayer that the "staging process" goes well. In the meantime, create something pretty. I've found over this crazy time that 30 minutes in my crafting haven makes a great escape of reality and makes me HAPPY! My family knows they need me happy. <smile>

CONGRATULATIONS GIRL. So happy for you and think how fun it will be to make your new home yours, painting, decorating, etc. I've heard about staging. I've seen on tv, those home buyer shows, how you don't want too much clutter because potential buyers will think the house is too crowded or doesn't have enough room. UGH, so you have to disrupt your home to please them? LOL I understand that is how it goes but just think, that is a good time to purge too. 🙂
Good Luck and have fun.
Wow, congratulations to you all! Yes staging is a very big thing these days…good luck! Just hope your stamp room does not to be emptied as well! Love your card, I am a flower girl and love very pretty and fast cards too….you hit the nail on the head here…TFS and looking forward to your continuing saga….and sending lots of happy thought thoughts and best of luck…you CAN do this!
Congrats on your new home! The fun thing about buying one that needs work is that you can make it how you want it! That is fun! 🙂
I'm rootin' for ya — for all to go well with your move and all!
BTW, Love this card and would like to case it if you don't mind………….
