Okay, forgive the picture quality. It comes from my iPhone at a very early hour. (Note: anything before 10am is very early to me). Remember I told you my kids pulled a little prank on me? This would be the second time. They are quite funny and have great humor. Sunday Morning I was super excited to sleep in. After a week of school and non stop business I just wanted to sleep. Alexis comes to my bedside at 930am and says: "Mama, someone is at the door for you and they say it's important!" Me: "WHAT? Who in the world comes this early on a Sunday morning! Tell them no thank you, please!" Alexis:"Mama, they say it's really important!" Me: "Okay, I'll be there in a minute." I get dressed into decent clothes and throw a hat on my head. I take a quick glance at myself and thought I looked pretty scary and quite possible this could scare the person at the door. When I get to the door I see this little gem of a "girl" outside with a clipboard. She says to me, "Hi Ma'am, would you like to buy some Girl Scout cookies? I look down at the box and my eyes are still blurry. I notice the box is taped up with White paper but in the corner of my eye I see the letters "Stampin' Up!" I look at the little "girl" again and it finally hit me! That was NOT a little girl. That was my BRANDON!! At that point I started to laugh so hard I couldn't control myself and the kids did too. They couldn't believe I fell for it at first. Once we stopped laughing I started looking at the precious little details these two kids went through to pull this prank off.
Here is what she did to him…
*Eyeshadow
*Blush
*Nail Polish
*Foundation
*He is wearing Lexi's clothing
*Her shoes
*Her purse
*Her Hannah Montana purse
*Her eyeglasses
*Mole on his cheek
*Her Necklace
*Her hat
When you start to factor all this "stuff" this was a lot to pull together. They were having the time of their lives while I was sleeping. Oh Jeez.
These are the things that I hold so dear to my heart. They are so funny and their sense of humor makes me laugh out loud even when they are not around. I only worry that this is the second prank and they are only a ripe age of 8 & 10. I can't imagine what's in store for me as they get older.
Do your kids do these things?
Just so you know, Brandon was frantically taking off finger nail polish on Monday morning. He almost forgot about it. *giggle*
Have a fantastic weekend and do something fun for yourself and your family.
XOXOXO

Kimberly,
All I could think when ready your post today is that your children are your reward for being such a wonderful military wife. Thank you to you, your Prince and your family for the service you all provide to our country.
Ooo la, la!!! Too hilarious!!! 🙂 I love it!
Way to go kids — you are awesome! So cute too, Brandon, in your little "get-up". 😉 Perfect picture for your Mom to display on your wedding day!!!! he-he-he
Omgosh! That is hysterical LOL!!!!! Your kids are just too funny & creative – I have a feeling they take after their mama. My three haven't pulled any pranks as creative on me even though they are super silly. Its wonderful to see how you truly enjoy these little people :*) Way better than FC, right?!
p.s. Brandon looked great as a girl – but don't tell him I said so!
That is freakin' hilarious!!! My kids are still young, but I seriously hope we're close enough and fun enough to have these kinds of moments some day. Y'all inspire me!
My children are in their 20's now but when they were about 9yrs and 6yrs my husband over heard them talking about how they were going to leave the tooth fairy some fake teeth they had made out of play-doh. He told me about it so that night I played tooth fairy and found a note and tooth under my daughter's pillow. The note read, "Dear Tooth Fairy, I don't wnat money. What I really want is a baby sister" I read this (I was 44 at the time and not planning on having more children) and panicked! Then I got a very sharp pencil and wrote in very tiny letters, "Dear Elizabeth, It isn't nice to try and trick the tooth fairy! It is not in my power to grant your wish." I still have the note and tooth… somewhere… in a safe place!
I so love innocent practical jokes. I must say, your children sound like they have that all figured out and they like to have fun! This is GREAT! There is nothing better than a great laugh. 🙂
That is too funny! I also thought it was a picture of your Daughter! LOL. So funny that your kids did this. Very creative! Thanks for sharing the story with us. It made my day.
LOL….you have such great kids…and for them to go this length and you not knowing a thing – LOL!!! Some nice let mom sleep time on Sunday but obviously you loved what they did, so all was forgiven easily! I agree with others, Brandon may rue the day he let you take the picture, but with your family being so close and doing so many wonderfully fun things, it will be great to use at a much later date! Thanks for sharing….
