It's been an exhausting day. Only because of PURE excitement. Have you ever been so excited you were exhausted? That was me today. The new catalog is in my sweet hands after the cute guy in brown came by today. Actually my Mr. UPS is just a hottie. Well, he brought that hot catalog and after looking through it a dozen times I have to admit I screamed a few times. Oh boy!! Anyways….
On to stamping…
Tonight my great friend Cathy came over. We tended to a little work and then it was time to stamp something pretty. The goal tonight was to use a stamp set that was retiring and make something pretty. Not hard when you have a bunch of pretty supplies staring at you. When two girls who love to stamp get together boy does magic happen. I love the card we made tonight. It's more of a show piece than anything. It has about 7 layers and yummy glitter. It's a card that surely would cost me over $2 to mail so I think I will just stare at it and remember the process of making it with my Cathy! Really, we made memories making this card. ROFL!
So this card uses LOTS of stamps, paper and ink as well as a few fun accessories.
The main image I stamped with is A Rose is a Rose which is retiring on July 1st. If you love Roses, this is a GREAT set to have. The ink colors used are Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, More Mustard, Old Olive and Wild Wasibi. Some of these colors are returning In Color colors. I hope you saved some of these. They are so fun to pull out and play again.
Now, you can see it clear in the picture, but I used the stamp set Charming in a couple of places. I love this set. Once we had the roses cut and the leafs cut and sponged around it was time to assemble the pieces. You'll notice that some of the roses are popped up using dimensionals. This really does give the card a 3-D affect. I can't remember the name of the set where the thank you came from yet. ???
Anyhoo, We had a blast making this card. Check out the last chance list. Lots fo great finds.
Hope your week is going GREAT.
XOXOXOXO

Lovely, lovely card! Oh my, how beautiful! Glitter just adds a little something , don't you think? Can't wait to get my new catalog in hand. The waiting is unbearable.
What a true masterpiece, Kimberly. I think I'd sit and stare at it endlessly too.
Your sentiment came from the Fresh Cuts set.
