In Family News…

Chaos is bliss.  Did I just say that? I guess I just have to accept the fact that chaos is WHO we are right now and it's the new normal.  While chaos usually means out of control to me, this chaotic life is totally under control but B-U-S-Y!  It's been so busy that I've barely taken my big daddy camera out to take pics of my kids.  Ack! Thankfully my kids find themselves saying cheese in front of my iPhone which typically follows with the question, "Mom, is that going on Facebook?"  It doesn't help that when they do something crazy I say to them, "Oh, this is PERFECT for Facebook!"  Meanie Mom of the year.

The kids have enjoyed the last 4 days off from school and I've enjoyed my car sitting in one place in the driveway.  I had grand plans on going Black Friday shopping but quickly gave that up when it was freezing outside (that's below 70 degrees in my world) and whatever that drug is that's in the Turkey??? Tryptophan? Anyways, it kicked in and I was pooped out.  I enjoy Black Friday to people watch mostly.  I love to see people go off the deep end over a silly thing like DVD's sold out.  This year I just had to read about it.

Since the kids were off this week they thought their lives would be filled with computers and electronics the entire time.  HA! They quickly discovered that would not be the case and ended up with rakes in their hands.  As you can see below they were hard at work.

That big pile of leaves was awesome until I reminded them they had to bag them all up.  I didn't get the "you're awesome, Mom!" kind of look.

So while our lives are chaotic, everyone is happy and I feel so peaceful.  Boy, that's been a long time coming.

Another great thing going on is the beautiful cards that I've been getting in the mail.  It's been a great mail month for me and I want to share.

This card came in the mail for Russ from my Mom.  She's a great stamper and I loved that she used this stamp set being that Russ is a Navy guy.  It was perfect and he loved it.

My sweet friend and downline sent this card to my family and it brought a big smile to my face.  I loved how she made the wreath from the leaves of this stamp set.  Thank you Gerriann.

My friend Tanaia made this beautiful card.  Her cards are always bright and happy. She has an eye for detail and ALWAYS blows me away when she remembers my birthday. I barely remember my birthday these days. Thank you Tanaia for thinking of me. XOXO

This simple and textured filled card was made from my friend and downline Jen.  I love how how she brought all the polka dots together.  Thank you Jen for this beautiful card.  XO

This was a "just because" card that came in the mail from my friend Rina and while this card is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous, what she wrote on the inside was even more! Thank you Rina. You brought a big smile to my face.

The last two cards are from Jen and Gillian both from SCS.  Interestingly enough, I've been a member of SCS since 2005.  Every year I get cards from SCS around my birthday and they always make me smile.  Jen and Gillian, thank you for the beautiful cards and the time you took to make them for me.  I do appreciate it.

Okay, back to work for me.  I took yesterday off to decorate the house.  I have more to share in a bit.

XOXOXOXO
