Hi There | Stampin’ Up!

Hi There | Stampin’ Up!

It appears that I took a little unexpected vacay!  Wasn’t exactly planned but couldn’t have been more perfect.  Our little house has been a busy one with lots of exciting praises to tell.

I’m not sure how I ever worked this one out but BOTH kids are headed to camp this week.  Two separate camps THIS week.  Both KIDS!

Excuse my excitement for a minute.  You might be thinking to yourself that I’m not a nice mama for thinking like this but really… who scores like this?

The kids are WAY more excited that I am.  Believe me.  Alexis has been packing for a week and when I said let’s go get in the car today she practically ran me over.  She is off to an amazing camp here in town for a week.  I dropped her today and she was giddy.  Still smiling as I left.  I’m so happy for her.  This is her first sleep away camp.  She is in 5 star accommodations with plans to zip line, archery, be on the rifle range and a ginormous pool with a slide.   This christian based camp has been around for 61 years.  Boy do they have this camp thing down pat.  AMAZING!

Brandon was with the Boy Scouts all weekend canoeing and then leaves again tomorrow for a camp at our church. He will be working in the community helping with the manna food bank as well as helping some of the flood victims.  He is also very excited to be with the youth of our church.

Meanwhile, I will be home in PEACE and QUIET.  I didn’t know this existed. I’m pretty excited.

During my mini vacay I had my best friend that made a special 5 hour trip to stay overnight with me.   I’m a quite humbled she would drive that distance to see little ole me but she did and I enjoyed every second with her.

I did finally get to making some cards this evening.  I’m still in love with the new catalog and can’t get enough of the Typeset Designer Series Paper.  It’s a beauty.  I loved how it makes this card POP with just a very small layer of it.

Hi There stamp set, Stampin' up!

The first layer of this card was created using our coaster board.  It’s nice and sturdy and worked great for this card.  The Hello greeting comes from the Hi There stamp set #134216.  I love the big “Hello and Hey” greeting in this stamp set.

I added a bit of Champagne Glitter paper using the large Scallop framelit as another layer and I love how it made it POP.

You can see all of the details on what I used for this card below.  Should be back to my normal posting schedule this week.  Have a BEAUTIFUL day and week!

  1. Oh Kimberly, what a gorgeous card, love all the elements. Hey, there is nothing wrong with being happy that the kiddos are out of the house for a bit, at least they wanted to go and sounds like they are going to have a blast and that will be good for them. It’s wonderful that Brandon is helping out in the community through church, that’s always important and I’m sure that will make him feel awesome.

  2. I enjoyed every minute too and didn’t mind a bit traveling to see you. It was worth every mile to see you and your family and oh yeh, the side trip to SB and TARGET. Next time WILL be longer! Love you girl!

  3. Hi Stephanie,
I used White embossing powder on that. I inked the image with White Craft Ink first. Hope that helps you. It’s a GREAT stamp set.

  4. I did a few cartwheels and then opened the door to their rooms and almost fainted. I cleaned one out today and tomorrow will tackle my daughters. They are LUCKY to be at camp. OH my word.
