Get Your Sun Shades!

You won't need them in Virginia today but I'm getting ready to brighten my stamp room a little with this card.  I pulled out the bright colors and accessories for today's card!

I pulled out my pretty Mixed Bunch stamp set from the Occasions Mini and felt the need to play with BRIGHT colors. For this card I embossed directly onto the First Edition DSP using three fun Embossing Powders- Tempting Turquoise, Tangerine Tango, and Wild Wasabi.  Usually I'm not quick to grab the bright colors. Maybe because Spring is here it put me in the mood but I really loved the way these flowers popped off the First Edition DSP.  Another thing I noticed is the embossing powders are not as bright and more muted.  I personally LOVE this.  Below is the list of products I used on this card.

Next I have a new Digital Layout.  Today's layout uses a few new downloads released yesterday. 

I started this layout with a Whisper White Textured 12 x 12 cardstock and then placed a Vintage Overlay on top of it.  I like the color it makes my background.  I also used lots of Square punches but turned them 180 degrees so I could have a diamond shape.  I then filled all of them with the Modern Prints DSP and bordered them with the Wild About You Black border stamp brush.  You'll notice in the top right of the layout is the new ripple ribbon we have.  WHOA! That got me super excited.
