Elegant Butterfly

I was browsing Pinterest the other day and came across a beautiful card using the Elegant Butterfly punch that caught my eye instantly.  It was one of those inspiring moments where I got off my chair immediately to create it with my own interpretation.

Do you find yourself doing this? Sometimes when I look at sites such as Pinterest I get a overwhelmed because I find so many beautiful creative projects I want to re-create.

What I loved about this card below was the negative effect of the butterfly and the patterns shining through from the back.  To add to the elegance I love the Modern Medley designer paper.  GORGE!!

Re-creating this card is quiet easy.  I cut 1/4″ strips of the Modern Medley DSP along with 1/4″ Very Vanilla strips that I added the Arrow textured embossing folder too.

I spent more time trying to find a sentiment for this card than creating it.  I  had a light bulb moment and decided on the Make Note This and That Rotary Stamp.  I used a Basic Black marker to ink this rotary stamp instead of an ink pad.

One last little tip for this card was stripping the Silver Bakers Twine.  Once I cut the amount I wanted, I simply pulled the silver thread from the Bakers Twine leaving just the Vanilla Thread.  OHHHHHH… I like this.

Lastly, I added a few Candy dots and a Rhinestone to embellish this card.

It’s simple and elegant, two things I was excited to create.
