Eating My Way Through Utah!

Eating My Way Through Utah!

Eating and eating and eating.  I’m eating my way through Salt Lake City, Utah.

My friend Cathy and I are trying to make sure we visit all of our favorite eateries this trip.  Boy has it been fun and we are so full.  It was definitely the best decision to come early and enjoy a few days of EATING.

If you are reading this and you have not eaten yet…. you might want to.  I could possibly make you very hungry.

Waffle Love

By far my favorite little place.

We looked high and low for this food truck last year and once we found it we were in heaven.

Waffle Love has done so great they now have a restaurant.  This was the one BIG thing on our bucket list this trip.

The Waffle Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque was incredible.  Definitely thinking we will have to have this one more time before we leave.  If you find yourself here in Salt Lake City, put this on your list.  You won’t be disappointed.

Eva’s Bakery

This little gem makes me SO happy.  Not only great food, the atmosphere of this place is pure joy.  Love love love it.

Let me say this… I’m not typically one to take pics of my food.  Really.  I don’t do it.  But this was divine.  It’s called Carbonara Macaroni (I think).  I wanted to lick the bowl, but seems how the restaurant was full, I believe it was completely inappropriate.  I thought about it.  I did.

Just when you think it couldn’t get better, you stop to pay and you are met with a dessert area.

At first I thought I couldn’t possibly eat another thing.  It’s all Cathy’s fault.  I had to have a Raspberry Macaroon.  Delish!

The Cluck Truck

The hotel we are staying at has a food truck that comes every Wednesday.  Today’s truck was the Cluck Truck.

It was pouring rain but we were determined to find our way over to this truck.  Again, totally worth it.

I didn’t get a picture of my ginormous wrap that I ate, but WOW… it was GOOD.

Life Outside of the Food….

There is a life outside of the food.  Cathy and I have enjoyed shopping and tonight I watched her stamp a few swaps.  All while I sit in a massive food coma.

I did also stamp a few things before I left.

Now… I hope you don’t mind that I stamped ANOTHER card using the You’re So Lovely stamp set.

I don’t typically do this, but I can’t help it.  I do love this set.

It makes me happy.

You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!,

I believe the little circle wreath (if that is what we want to call it) is my favorite and I see so many possibilities with it.

You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!,

I used the Botanical Blooms stamp set to stamp the tiny flowers in the background.  They are SO cute.  So tiny.

I used the Tree Builder punch (again…) to stamp the little flowers.  Oh I love this.  Bare with me.  They are so tiny too.

All the supplies I used are below in the clickable links.

I think I should go find the gym at the hotel to exercise a little of all this food off my body.
That’s kinda funny and I know that’s not going to happen.
Meanwhile, I hope you are having a great week.  Tomorrow we pick up our bags and the NEW catalog.  I can’t WAIT.

  1. I couldn’t go to Salt Lake City this go……but would recommend going to the Italian Restaurant across the street from the convention center and directly across the street from the Marriott. FAVORITE Italian Restaurant when we travel to convention. If the weather is nice……ask to sit in the courtyard that is in the back of the restaurant. YOU WON’T BE DISAPPOINTED. Continue to have FUN!

  2. I’m unable to be there, but I’m making notes on your choices to try next time. I really miss the fish tacos and margaritas at the Red Iguana!

  3. Love it! I’ll have to check out all your recommendations next time I’m in town! (My parents live there!) I didn’t make it this year but had a blast celebrating my birthday with my sweet family instead. Looks like it was a blast! I can’t wait to see more!
