I love cupcakes and carousels, so what better way to start out the day than with cupcake & carousel overload.
I have more birthday inspiration to share with you from the Be Inspired Design team. You probably just came from Carolynn’s blog, and her project was exquisite.
Now be inspired by a few more cards and projects using the Cupcakes & Carousels Suite. I can’t get enough of it this week!
Mix it Up!
Many of you know my love for mixing stamp sets especially if I fall in love with a particular font.
To create this card, I chose to use the big top tent image along with a greeting from Big on Birthdays stamp set.
I re-created the card above only this time I changed out the color combination.
Tips & Tricks
- To create the star die cut, I placed two-star framelits together to create a frame using Bermuda Bay and So Saffron cardstock.
- Each card used a strip of the Party Animal Designer Washi Tape on the right side of the card base (Whisper White 4-1/4″ x 11).
- The happy birthday greeting comes from the Big on Birthdays stamp set (page 6-Occasions Catalog).
Layer Designer Series Paper
One of the reasons I love Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers is for the coordinating colors within the packs. Not only does it take the guess work out of which colors to use, but it’s also seamless to layer different patterns together from one pack. Plus we know that all of the colors match.
Layering colors and patterns from the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer, Series Paper Stack was effortless because the patterns and colors coordinated.
The Cupcakes & Carousels paper stack comes with 48 Sheets of 12 double-sided designs. This paper stack is 6 x 6 and only $10! Totally WORTH it.
Notice the banner in the top right corner of the card? The Bunch of Banners Framelits has a tiny banner perfect for creating a fun element such as the one on this card.

That horse card is to die for. I am also head over heels for that paper stack – so beautiful and I have thought of so many ways to use it! Bringing one of those ideas to life today. Can’t wait! Coffee, then stamping!
