Crafting Overdose!
For real! You cannot go wrong with a crafting overdose. Last week I was a creating machine getting a few classes together and prepping for a crop at the beach. It felt like a crafting high and I’m not finished. I have so many ideas floating in my tiny little brain but my hands cannot make them fast enough nor do my people in this house understand my urgency. They say things like, “I’m hungry, I have no underwear, I need a ride….” These dear beautiful people. <grin>
One of my favorite creations I had to share with you uses the Lovely Amazing You stamp set that was released about 2 weeks ago. This is a photopolymer stamp set and it’s adorable.
I love the feather in this stamp set and the handwritten greetings make it the best. I also used a stamp set that has not seen ink AT ALL. I was happy to finally use it- What’s Your Type stamp set is great to make backgrounds in all types of ways. This is a great set to unleash your creativity.
I didn’t get overly creative with this card. Just a simple Pool Party and Pink Pirouette inks and a few triangles. You can see I placed Cardstock Vellum over the stamped images and this gives a softer look.
I went a little crazy and punched a triangle over the stamped one. Do you see it? Small details make me happy. I love how the stamped greeting fits perfectly inside the Chalk Talk framelit too.
The next steps are easy. Just adding layers with Ribbon, Heart Boarder Punch, a button and pearl from the Artisan Embellishment Kit finish off the card.
Time to get back to work. My bags are 1/2 unpacked from the crop. The laundry is still piled high and the people need food.
