This weekend I became a little Betty Crocker. This is a rare occurrence in our house as I don’t normally have time to bake.
Yesterday we were meeting with a family at the church before evening service. They have three very small kids and Russ and I were grateful they could take the time to go over the small group we will be leading together.
To show our gratitude I baked 2 loaves of Pumpkin Spice bread. One for them and of course one for Russ. He loves anything pumpkin.
I wanted to spice up the packaging for my bread so I headed to the computer and created a fun Bread Cover using My Digital Studio.
This was so quick and easy.
I started creating this like a card in My Digital Studio. Once created I copied and pasted to get 4 onto an 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and then printed.
Here is a printable that you can use if you would like. Click HERE.
To embellish the cover I die cut some leaves and stamped the Gorgeous Grunge stamp over them. I sponged around the edges with the coordinating color to make the leaves pop a little more. I also added the Autumn Wooden Elements and Gold Twine.
I was so excited to give my friend this pretty bread….
As we are tootling down the road halfway to the church, I remembered my BREAD!!! I left it sitting on the table at home. Ahhhh!! I wanted to cry.
Have you ever done this?? Where is my BRAIN??
You can see all the supplies to create this project below.
I’m not going to lie. I was going through my email when I received something that talked about it and I had a glimmer of excitement. It’s been awhile since I had opened My Digital Studio. I immediately opened it up and started creating… Well… sort of.
If you are a mac user and you updated to Yosemite, there is a little snag with My Digital Studio. Luckily Stampin’ Up! is on top of it and provided a patch that fixes the problem. If you are having this problem, click HERE and download the patch and you will be all set.
Now… once I had that fixed I was creating away. I love My Digital Studio and I love creating pages of my sweet doggie.
I enjoyed going through my software picking out fun elements for this layout. There are a couple elements I purchased from Pixel & Co that were added as well. I love that you can use other digital art with our software. The font I used is called KD Rocky.
If you are like me and haven’t opened your software in awhile, I challenge you to do so this week. Share your project on our Simply My Digital Studio Facebook Group. We have a challenge this week to have 50 projects uploaded. There will also be a drawing on Monday.
Celebrate Digital Scrapbook Week with me, will you? It’s another great option to share your creativity. Isn’t it great we have so many options with Stampin’ Up!

I stitched a small piece of the Bermuda Bay cardstock texture embossed with the Arrow embossing folder and also added a piece of the White Filter Paper under it. Love how this looked on the card.

If you are crazy busy like me I have a solution for how to CREATE on the GO!
I don’t know about you but it’s RARE that I don’t have some type of creative “thing” in my hand. I love to create and if I can find something to create when I’m on the go I am a happy camper.
There is ONE problem!
I’m not that organized and I have a tendency to procrastinate getting something together to take with me when I’m on the GO.
I do have a solution! It’s pretty simple and still gives me the ability to create like I love.
My Digital Studio! All I need is my computer and I’m out the door and have the ability to create quickly.
Below I’m sharing 3 layouts that I created for our Simply My Digital Studio Challenge Group. This group with over 1600 participants has been a great way to learn My Digital Studio.
If you are new to this great software, it’s easy as 1, 2, 3! A simple way to take your photos and get them off your computer and make beautiful layouts for albums. This software is also fantastic to use with e-Cutters such as the Silhouette Cameo or to make beautiful cards that you can print on your own or through our print lab.
Eleven years ago my life changed. I just had Alexis. She was 5 months old when I decided to become a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.
WOW! Eleven years!
When I look back on the eleven years I’ve been with Stampin’ Up! I can see so many great blessings that have come along the way. After trying a few other great companies prior to Stampin’ Up! this is the one that I knew right away I was passionate for.
I’ve always loved the concept of being my own boss and the entire Direct Selling venture, but there was something about Stampin’ Up! that made me really passionate about creativity and most of all uplifting and inspiring others along the way.
For the record let me tell you that I probably wasn’t inspiring anyone with my creativity in the beginning. Boy could I make a not so pretty card when I started. Although my creativity may not have been on par, my enthusiasm was over the top. You know that contagious enthusiasm? You see someone so happy doing what they are that you want to be a part of it too? That’s was me… and it’s still that way eleven years later.
During my eleven years with Stampin’ Up! not only have I been able to enjoy a business I can call my own but the most incredible friendships along the way. Today my favorite part of my business comes from making something with my ink, paper and stamps and uplifting and inspiring others. There is something great about showing others the art of creativity and that you DON’T have to be creative to stamp. It comes with time. Just like anything else in life.
While my family has been blessed beyond belief during my time with Stampin’ Up! we all learned this year the most beautiful part about being a demonstrator was the community of stampers that I know. When Russ had his stroke my customers, downline and fellow demonstrator sisters prayed and took care of Russ and I. It was the most humbling experience during a really difficult time. You prayed hard, and I will always love each and every one of you for it!!
Today I’m sharing my two favorite things to do. Paper crafts and Digital scrapbooking.
As you know for the last year and half Heather Summers and I have lead a Digital Group completely focused on My Digital Studio. It’s been a great journey as we help inspire more and more people to enjoy the art of digital scrapbooking. Today over 1500+ members enjoy the challenges, ideas, advice and encouragement that comes from this group.
I’m grateful to Stampin’ Up! for giving me an opportunity to preserve my family memories. My Digital Studio is just ONE way I get it done.
Next, my other passion (more like ADDICTION) is paper, ink and stamps!
It’s easy to be a star as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. Every time I create something I feel like a star. Not because I think what I’m creating is amazing, but the feeling I get from making it.
It’s only fair that I share the greatest opportunity that someone shared with me. Are you looking to fulfill a passion? Do you like to inspire or uplift other people around you? If so, I would love for you to join the Stampin’ Up! adventure with me.
Right now until June 30th you can JOIN Stampin’ Up! for $50. You can choose $55 in retail product of your choice AND you would get a Paper Pumpkin kit along with your kit.
Whether you make this passion a hobby or a passionate career like I have you are under NO obligation where you take it. You decide. That’s the beauty of being a business owner.
Click HERE to read more and see if Stampin’ Up! is a fit for you. I would love for you to join TODAY on my Stampin’ Up! anniversary so we can celebrate each year together.
I am grateful today. Thank you for following along the journey and making my adventure with Stampin’ Up! so so special.
XOXOXOXO
