Tin of Tags
It’s a great day to share the Tin of Tags Kit from Stampin’ Up!
This kit has amazing possibilities outside of the gorgeous tags you can create.
Are you ready?
This incredible kit is not just about Tags. In fact, you will be pleasantly surprised with all that you can do with this little kit.
A Little Housekeeping First
You may have noticed the silence around this blog but don’t worry… I’m back.
Three weeks of amazing fun in the sun, friends and one on one time with my bestie came to a halt this past Saturday.
I needed a day to be mopey, and then with the mopey came a cold. Ahhhh! That was not a welcomed gift.
I’m on the mend. I’m off the couch and coming back to my normal bubbly self.
I’ll be sharing all the great things that happened this week. SO much to share and tell. It will be a doozy to post.
Let’s Get Creative!
Do you love a good crafting kit? Something that makes crafting a little easier when you are in a bind for time or creativity? I have a solution.
The Tin of Tags Kit is superb and the best part is you can crank out a few amazing cards with it as well.
Inside the Tin of Tags kit you will find lots of great embellishments that you could use on tags, or on a card. Today I’m sharing ways to use this kit on cards.
The Tin of Tags kit has a coordinating stamp set called…. Tin of Tags. This is a fantastic stamp set with a gazillion ways to use it on all types of projects.
Here is the contents of the Tin of Tags Kit. It’s pretty nifty.
My favorite pieces are the beautiful wooden snowflakes, Washi Tape and sequins. All the pieces in this kit are delicate and beautiful.
Tips & Tricks
- I created watercolor wash on watercolor paper first. I heat set the watercoloring with a heat tool and then stamped the snowflakes from the Tin of Tags stamp set.
- A small strip of Washi Tape was used from the Tin of Tags Kit.
- The greeting uses the Tin of Tags stamp set then die cut using the Tags & Labels Framelits.
- I added a small wrapped thread from the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon.
- There is a small strip of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (1″ x 5-1/2″). This was sponged first using Pink Pirouette Ink and the Sponge Brayer.
- The music sheet paper comes from the This Christmas Designer Series Paper. LOVE that paper.

Beautiful Snowflakes
I love how this kit is filled with snowflakes.
You will notice on this card I stamped the snowflakes using Smoky Slate ink over the Whisper White, then added the silver snowflake doily under the greeting.
If you look closely, I used the Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper again on the right side, which is also filled with snowflakes. Sure love how this card came together.
Seen above, the silver metallic twine from the Tin of Tags kit is wrapped around the card several times and secured on the back side of the Whisper White cardstock.
Lastly, a few sequins and Real Red ink splattered across the top of the card.
