Creative Summer-Digital

Happy Thursday morning!

Our vacation is winding down here in Florida.  Just days left to pack in all that I want to do, smell the ocean air and hug family members tightly before I say the good-bye.  It always seems like there is NEVER enough time.  The rain has continued here but we've found other things to keep us busy.  Alexis has been crafty with the sewing machine making American Girl doll clothes and I've been playing around with the MDS teaching my mom.  She has caught on FAST. That's what the layout above is all about.  Getting our CRAFTY on.

Again, lots of layers.  You can see all downloads I used HERE. You can visit my Online Store to recreate this layout.

Tell me, are you getting digital or are your feet moving slow to use it? If you're still sitting on the fence I would love to hear your reasons.  I want to help you get started.  Leave a comment and I will respond.

Have a FANTASTIC day!!

  1. I am really dragging my feet on MDS! I purchased MDS about two years ago and I have used it to make creative things for dinner parties and work functions but have yet to create a card or keepsake layout!  It is really easy and intuitive to work with.  Maybe it's because I enjoy the hands on feel of the textiles we use when making a card? Things that make you say, "hummmmmm?"

  2. Congrats on the cool page and THANKS SO much for saying what all you used.. I see lots of pages, then try to figure out what they used and it's almost impossible!! BEAUTIFUL job Kimberly!!

Very nice page and so happy that your mom is enjoying it.  How wonderful that your daughter is sewing…and for her American Girls dolls…never too young!     I have to say that I am not at all interested in MDS…I really prefer my 3 dimensional cards.  My up-up line is Patty Bennett and she is really into MDS as are several ladies in Patty's group…I appreciate it and and am sometimes fooled at first glance that the accessories look popped out.    I'll stay with my regular card making…..and am happy to look at everyone else's MDS projects.  Enjoy the last days of your vacation!

  4. Hi Kimberly, love your blog and love your creations. I don't have MDS, I am dragging my feet about it. I know if I get it, it will help me to get a little caught up. I do love doing the pages by hand though and I really need to get moving and get some pages done ;(

  5. I'm glad you're enjoying your vacation time in Florida!  Family is what summer is all about!  I have been doing some home projects on my vacation which is good on one hand, but haven't worked too very hard.  Still too many projects to do, but they will get done eventually.  Just got an order from Verve and I know I will be getting crafty pretty quick myself.  I have got some digital stamps but I really prefer seeing the ink hit the paper, and feeling the paper and products with my fingers.

  6. awesome layout … 3 generations … how sweet! feed back on the whole digital scrappin for me would be because part of the reason i scrapbook is my love of paper stamps and ink and the process of using those supplies.  i can't do that with a laptop.  since i use the computer for so many other things i'd rather have that hands on time creating with actual "things".  know what i mean?!   y'all may want to bolt before the hurricane blows our way. ugh!
