That's right! I am making time to get into my stamp room and stamp away. WOW does it feel good. Putting ink to paper just makes a person feel happy. Maybe the stars are just aligning correctly, I dunno! What I do know is I've been down here THREE times this week. That is a record breaking time frame in the last two months. I almost forgot where I placed things. Now that is just NOT right. Have you ever stopped stamping for a bit and then when you finally had the moment to stamp you had that scary feeling of, "can I really do this?" Again, you must think I have lost my mind but this is a thought I had. Where to start? I knew exactly what I wanted to work with and I had a purpose. A perfect start. I have three amazing grads to congratulate. One of them is my nephew. We are SO proud of this boy! Valedictorian! Yes, we are proud. I've never known someone as smart as him. I hate that we couldn't be with him to celebrate his special day. Graduation is such a memorable moment. Over the next couple of days I am going to share my Grad cards with you.
I was a little crazy with this card. I even pulled out the sewing machine. I started with the The Open Sea stamp set from the Summer Mini Occasions. This stamp set is perfect for the manly cards you want to make. The greeting comes from the Happy Greeting stamp set also found in the Summer Mini. I love the different fonts in this particular sentiment.
The Nautical Expedition DSP compliments the stamp set perfectly. I love it. I used Chocolate Chip textured cardstock for the base of the card. I added Not Quite Navy across the card and stamped the world image across using VersaMark. This card is simple and just contains a lot of layers and dimensionals.
You can find all these products in my Online Store. Make sure you check the Last Chance list. I gave you a list of a few must have's yesterday. Today I would suggest looking at the 12 x 12 Cardstock. If you love the feel of our Stampin' Up! textured cardstock, put that on your list. It sure does make a card pop. Take a moment to look through your CURRENT Stampin' Up! catalog. Take a good peek at the beautiful samples in this catalog. You will notice many cards made with a textured base. I think we sometimes overlook the little details. I always think it's the little things that can make a card POP.
I hope your Friday has been FANTASTIC! It's going to be a GREAT weekend.
XOXOXO
