Can You Be Ridiculously Happy?
I think we can all have some ridiculous type of happiness in our life. In fact I think I covered that in the last 16 days of being on the road.
From Convention in Salt Lake City I traveled home for a VERY short 16 hours and then traveled to New Orleans with Russ for a “work” related trip.
Each day was some sort of ridiculous happy. Laughing, playing, sight seeing, great food. It was ALL amazing. There is one thing that makes me even MORE ridiculously happy…. HOME! I’m so glad to be home and get into my normal routine.
Okay, that’s not totally true. I haven’t had a routine in some time. I’m almost a bit unsure where to begin. I just know I’m ready to find the routine and start it.

This card was another swap I created for convention. I wanted to pass along a little bit of ridiculous happiness to those that I swapped with. To send the message that we can all have it. It may take leaping LOTS of mountains but it’s there if we look hard enough.
The Kinda Eclectic stamp set is one that I use SO often because of the beautiful sun flare image. It looks great on so many cards. That’s how I started this card by stamping it on Hello Honey cardstock and using Delightful Dijon ink. This was mounted onto the Whisper White cardstock on a slight angle to create a different look for the card.
Of course layers of fun happened next by adding a little pattern paper from the Schoolhouse Collection. Fun patterns in this collection.
Lastly I used another stamp set to create the sentiment from a fantastic kit. It fit this card perfectly- Cottage Greeting Kit.

By adding a few teeny tiny pearls and rhinestones it finished this card up quickly. To keep the layers in place I used my Handheld stapler. I don’t know what I would do without that tool. It’s my all time favorite now. I’m always grabbing for it.
Now the question is WHAT kind of ridiculous happiness will you create today? Sometimes we have to dig so deep to find it, but in the end it’s there. Whether creating, exercising, traveling… find some ridiculous amounts of happiness and bottle it up. We need it. We need to be happy.
Oh, I didn’t want to leave you hanging on my last trip with Russ. We had the pleasure of taking 16 international students for which he oversee’s on a daily basis to New Orleans for a bit of culture (or what I like to say… culture SHOCK!) From Bourbon St, to the WW2 museum these guys had a blast. They enjoyed the food, the people, and of course all the sights. We kept them very busy for 4 days. They were able to enjoy Jazz music and a trip down the Mississippi River. A fantastic time.

Now I’m home and time to get back into doing my “thang!” Right?
Have a RIDICOUSLY amazing day and make something pretty!
