Creative Explosion- Stampin’ Up!
Oh boy! There has been a creative explosion in my studio! Â It’s been awhile since I last posted. Â I was afraid I wouldn’t know how the buttons worked since my blog updated a few times since the last entry. Â
My intention was not to take a break in the blog world however it happened because I am EXCEPTIONAL at overloading my schedule and forget that I have children who need me to taxi them ALL the time. Â
The good news is I might have some control over my life again. The things I overloaded my schedule with are/were good for my soul.  I started teaching a bible study at my church and love love love it.  It’s taken up a bit more time than I had imagined but again my heart is happy. Â
I could bore you with all the other crazy news but I don’t think it’s necessary. Â The quick update is everyone is alive. Â Sometimes these people in my house get a little out of hand. Â Not naming names… just saying. Â Russ continues to get stronger. Â He’s hitting a few road blocks in his therapy. Â Very frustrating. Â We continue to encourage and know that God will provide. Â
The last two weeks have been the busiest and the BEST. Â
There is something to be said about getting with your girlfriends and crafting together. Â My girlfriend Cathy traveled here to Pensacola and then we took off for Orlando for Stampin’ Up!’s Leadership conference. Â There we met with our other two bestie’s Terri and Deb. Â Oh what a dream vacay that was. Â 4 girls in a condo crafting like a bunch of school girls. Â
After Leadership Cathy and I came back to Pensacola and she stayed another week with me. Â We crafted EVERY single night until at least 2 AM. Â Overall we created 52 projects that we couldn’t be more proud of. Â Some of our projects were a collaborative effort and some we came up with on our own and always made doubles so we each had one. Â Let’s just say Cathy’s suitcase is HEAVY. Â
First I want to share one of our favorite projects that we collaborated on.Â
Coffee Anyone?Â
You know I’m a complete coffee lover and so is Cathy. Â We had to play with this set. It’s been awhile. Â
We were pretty excited about this card because of the fun texture we added.  We used the Stampin’ Up! Decorative Mask Hearts & Stars and added Modeling Paste over the mask.  This is how we created the hearts on the Kraft cardstock.  Once the modeling paste dried (which is pretty quick) we used a very fine paint brush (Sponge Dauber would work too) to add Gold Encore Ink to a few of the hearts. Â
Next was just adding the layers we wanted to add a little curb appeal to the card. Â Things such as Fancy Foil Gold Designer Vellum – delicious, don’t you think? It’s just a simple banner underneath the coffee cup but love how the hearts blend right in.Â
We added the words “Coffee” using my new favorite tool- the Alphabet Rotary stamp.  I’ve had this little gem for a long time but hated using it until I had seen it in action at Leadership.  Now I’m hooked. Â
Blendabilities were used to color the coffee cup using Pink Pirouette. Â I love the soft look of this pink. Â
The extra zing for this card used the stamp set You Plus Me.  This set has 2 little arrows that are adorable.  We highlighted one of them to show up through one of the hearts.  SO fun.Â
You can see all the supplies for this card below. Â
I have MUCH more to share so stay tuned. Â
Also, a new Stamps in the Mail is coming.  It’s ready to go just need to fine tune the details.Â
Tomorrow I am going to share FUN Valentines project. You might SQUEAL!!!

Louise, you can get Modeling paste can be found at a local craft store. I have two kinds but both are really the same. Liquitex makes it or a new bottle I found was by Teresa Collins. Found that at JoAnn’s. 🙂

Very nice to see you back here! Glad you and your pal had such a good time at Leadership and MORE fun and silliness back at your home for a rollicking good time stamping…..your card is sooo pretty – love all of the hearts! Not a coffee drinker in any way and don’t own this set, but really like your card!
Fantastic card, love all the layers.
