CYCI #44 – Color Challenge

CYCI #44 – Color Challenge

Time for another challenge on this beautiful Sunday with Can You Case It.  This time it’s a fun color challenge.

CYCI44, Can You Case It, Color Challenge
Today’s color challenge works with two of our newest In Colors and I love the way these two colors are so RICH in color.

CYCI #44, Color Challenge, Stampin' Up!If you are looking for a simple card, this is perfect.  Only a few layers, and no fussy cutting.  Simply stamped and die cut using the Stars Framelits.

CYCI #44, Color Challenge, Stampin' Up!If you see a little shine on the stars that is because I clear embossed each of the stars from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set to make them stand out more.  I also embossed the stars on the Very Vanilla cardstock.  This added a bit more texture to the base of the card.

CYCI #44, Color Challenge, Stampin' Up!I couldn’t help but add a little stitching to the stars using a Vanilla thread.  While the buttons are not spot on as for color, they add the perfect contrast for the colors.

Tip: I wanted a vanilla twine for the button so I used the Natural & Old Olive Two Tone Twine and unraveled the twine discarding the Old Olive twine. This was a perfect match for my Very Vanilla card base.  Create a banner easily using the Hexagon Punch to create the “V” on the ends of banner.

Ready for a challenge yourself? Come along and play along.  Join the challenge and see other inspirational cards created with these colors HERE.
