Here is another new digital download with so many possibilities!

Do you own a Silhouette or an e-Cutter? This would be a fantastic project to create using an e-Cutter.

I’m loving these options today.

Time for a little update on the family and the picture below goes along with my story.  Many of you know I love Monday’s.  I’m a rare bird but Monday’s are always a FRESH start to the week and typically make me excited to begin again.  NOT yesterday.  Once again we woke up to the plumbing completely out of whack and a flood in the Master Bathroom.  Not good since I needed to get Russ ready and out the door for therapy.

Once I had used all the towels in my linen closet to clean the flood Russ informed me the dryer was on the outs.  WHAT???? I have 20 soaking wet towels AND Brandon has NO clothes.

Off to therapy we went.  Russ did his work out while I sat and made phone calls.  Called my family to become my mobile laundry mat and things were starting to look up.

I was completely overwhelmed with the amount of problems that seem to be piling up.  I decided to take a breath of fresh air on my back patio and dream about getting in the pool. I prayed.  I cried. I was feeling refreshed.

It was an amazing 70 degrees outside.  Add the peace and quiet and I really enjoyed the moment.  I felt like my happy Monday was coming back.

This morning I sit and wait for the new plumber.  Praying that he fixes it for REAL this time.  Tomorrow the tech comes to fix the dryer.

Have you ever had one of those days where everything that could go wrong did? What is your way bringing peace back? Share your thoughts with me, I would love to hear them.

  1. Oh dear… remember that night is darker before sunrise. Life brings us the chance to grow, sometimes we don’t understand the “shape” of those opportunities. Slow down, put your eyes on the good things you haven’t noticed yet, tomorrow you’ll say “those were the great things I had”!. I have been feeling miserable since the diagnosis of my 5 Y.O, she will deal with Epilepsy her whole life, and I think I’m here to enjoy her and show her the other side of small things. Hang in there! Hugs….

  2. Well girlfriend whenever I’m stressed and at my wits end, I text my girlfriends whom I talk with every single day. They lift me up and get me through the day no matter how little or how big the crisis might seem at the time. I usually end up laughing. Remember in the grand scheme of things………. There’s always Target! lol Love you girlfriend!!!!

  3. Well, you’re the rare Monday bird who loves the 70 degree weather and dreaming about getting into the pool. I, on the other hand, am probably the rare snowbird! To me there is nothing more relaxing and peaceful then to sit and watch it snow. Yep, some might call me crazy but if I had the chance – year-round, to escape to a peaceful snow scene — just to de-stress when I need it — that would be my first choice! Needless to say, for me (Hubby too) this winter has been awesome! Nothing like a good old-fashioned winter now and again.
Hoping your plumber and dryer tech get to you fast and do the job quickly and efficiently. 🙂

  4. I call a friend or my sister. I’ve been at a loss lately because my dearest friend here passed away in October. I eat. I stamp or scrap. I say a prayer. And, if all else fails I have a little trickle of Dickle over ice! You are so strong, but it helps to let someone else be strong for you sometimes.

  5. I definitely have had days where everything seemed to go wrong. What brought me peace in the short-run was looking forward to my simple, ritual pleasures- newspaper puzzles while eating a hot breakfast, hot tea after dinner shared with my husband, a favorite TV show my husband and I like to watch together, Taco Thursdays (because of our daughters activities on Thursdays, we make tacos for dinner to keep it simple), things like that. To restore peace in the long-term, I read the Bible, pray, and exercise. As my mother would tell me when our girls were very small, “This, too, shall pass.”. And it did, as will other difficult times.

I love your creativity, I love your writing style, and I pray that everything gets fixed and stays fixed and that you find your peace!

  6. Oh my Sue. We are opposite in the snow department. LOL. I agree that if you can find that peaceful escape it helps, whatever it may be. I’m finding that is the one thing keeping me grounded lately. Just sitting quietly for a few minutes. XO

  7. LOL!! I love the little trickle of dickle over ice!! I’m so sorry about your friend. That is a very hard adjustment when we lean on them for so many things. XO

  8. I was ready to delete your update until I scrolled down to the wind catcher (yuck, my mind has gone as the proper name for it – and I love them!)…..and then of course the continuation of the Van Diepen saga, which I love to read! SO sorry that you again are experiencing plumbing issues….not much is worse than that! My husband and son went shopping on Monday and bought us a new dryer – ours went out about 3 weeks ago and though we have a very nice laundromat near by, it is still a hassel! Hoping that by this time things are on their way back to your normal….. And that your lives will soon be back on track….!
