This title could mean so many things!
-falling behind on all my work… BIG time…
-falling in love with my home…
-fallen off the stamping train? I promise I haven't!
Or that I really FELL!!
I usually go visit with my parents on Sunday's. I was checking out my mom's adorble little garden when my flip flop twisted and down I went.
Luckly I wasn't hurt but I think my mom hurt herself from laughing so hard. She ran to get her phone to snap a picture. I was trying my hardest to crawl out of the mess I was in and to no avail. Not only does she bring her camera, but now my dad literally crying laughing.
It took both of them to help me out. Nothing was broke on my body and the surroundings survived my crash as well.
It was a perfect ending to my week. I SERIOUSLY look forward to Monday's. It's my fresh start and I'm praying hard that we hit no speed bumps this week.
After the sewer situation and then our cable line getting sliced… I can only laugh and shrug my shoulders with a sigh.
The funny about our cable being cut was seeing the charming faces of my family for the last 2 1/2 days. They were all lost without internet.
This week we are finishing up a bit of landscaping and our renovations will just about be complete. Very exciting for me as I'm the one that deals with contractors ALL during the day. Our glass room (Florida Room) will be complete in two weeks and then we can rearrange the furniture to fit better. I cannot wait. S-L-O-W progress.
Heather and I have a really fun My Digital Studio challenge this week. In the past we've had challenges using just ONE digital kit. It's a great way to explore the depths of what one kit has to offer. This week the challenge is to use ONE digital kit and use it for something other than the intended use. Below I took the challenge with the Grad Party Kit. The DSP is beautiful and the stamp brushes were perfect to describe my layout when rebuilding my new studio.
The flourishes, flags and stamp brushes made this Grad Party kit a perfect fit. It's great when you can really get more uses out of a kit like this one.
I did add a few extras like stitching and the sequins. Just a few of my favorite digital art pieces.
Are you up for the challenge? Jump over to our Facebook Group Simply My Digital Studio Challenge and join in the fun. We now have over 1000 members joining in the fun, learning new ideas and digital inspriation through the roof! Don't miss out and join today. It's free. It's fun! Click HERE to join today. Make sure to check out Heather's layout today.
So what's next? One of the biggest questions I'm asked lately is will I ever paper craft again? Of course. You can't keep a stamping girl down for too long, right? I did stamp Friday night. I made a fun card and shared a peek on my Facebook Page. I'm getting there.
So what's my problem? Why is taking me FOREVER??
It's a couple of things. Time being my biggest obstacle right now. Believe it or not, we are just now in the "hang the picture" mode. I spend a good portion of the day doing that or unpacking boxes I put to the side. My biggest problem, and quite unusual for me is getting back my groove. I'm sure someone can relate when you have been out of your norm for so long you are unsure where to begin. That's me.
I'm sure my mojo will come back. The card I made Friday night took over an hour to make. It's nothing difficult. It just took time to figure out what I was doing. Plus remember I am SO orgainzed I cannot find a thing. <sigh>
A few housekeeping tips:
