Archive for Textured Plates Stampin’ Up!

Life isn’t always a breeze!

Well, not since the kids got out of school.  Our Summer Staycation is going just as planned!  A little laughter, screaming and the favorite saying of the day, "Mommy, I’m bored!"  I’m sure I am not the only Mother that has heard this.  <grin> Overall the kids are enjoying the summer break.  There is just one major thing I would like to change and that’s the weather.  It has been cold and rainy almost everyday.  So, to rid those gloomy days I thought I would make a card that makes me think of my favorite place…Florida!  Besides, my mom loves to tell me she is hot and sweaty every day.  So nice!

This retiring stamp set has always been one of my favorites to scrapbook with.  The simple little boat is just adorable.  Below you will find all the materials I used! I like how the Tempting Turquoise looks with Kraft.  That Kraft sure does go with everything.  It makes me smile!

Big Shot Extravaganza!

It was a Big Shot night at my house with lots to learn and fun projects to make.  The goal of the evening was to learn many of the fun dies and how to use them.  Stampin’ Up! carries so many great dies with multiple uses.  I love showing how you can do many projects with one die.  Just as we do with stamps.  Here are some of the projects I shared tonight.  Grab your coffee… it’s a long one.

Box 2 with Scallop

This box uses the Box #2 Die Cut and the Parisian Breeze Specialty Paper.  We used the Wide Oval punch in the center with a window sheet to view the candy inside.  The tag was made using Lots of Tags sizzlets.  FABULOUS dies. I used a new Spring Mini stamp set called Great Friend.

Scallop Circle with Fleurettes

This next project used the Scallop Circle, Clear Circle Die Cut and the Flower Embosslit die.  I love that you can make fun trendy cards using the Scallop Circle die.  We used the Clear Circle die to layer on top of Scallop Circle.  I added a Fleurette to the Flower embosslit with a clear rhinestone brad.  I love how delicate these Fleurettes are and they add a fun touch to any card.

Quilt Card

This card just shows one more great use for the Top Note Die cut.  I’m guessing this must be one of our most popular die cuts.  Numerous uses have been found with this die.  Here is another fabulous card.  My friend Lisa shared this great technique and I was so excited.  It’s so awesome and a GREAT way to use your beautiful Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Paper.  This card also uses the Ribbon Bundle from Sale-A-Bration.  The stamp set is Lovely Labels.  The Bashful Blue Scallop is cut from the Pennant Die Cut.

Simple Butterfly

The last card uses many dies.  I started with the Movers & Shapers Curly Label Die Cut.  Once cut, I used the Beautiful Butterflies die cut and the Textured plates on the bottom of the card.  Stamps sets used are Flight of the Butterfly, Sprinkles, and It’s Your Birthday.

It was a GREAT night of fun and a great night for me to show why I LOVE my Big Shot!

Have a FABULOUS Sunday!

Feeling Retro and Crazy!

Ahhhhh!!!!  Nothing like a little midnight stampin’ tonight.  Feels FABULOUS!

So yesterday I said I would share a little somethin’ somethin’ that we made at my open stamp on Saturday.  Well, here it is!

Tree Thanks

I’m lovin’ this stamp set! There are some serious products on this card.  Lots of play with the Big Shot.  We used the Textured Plates diamond background using Whisper White cardstock and then layered again on Whisper White.  I love this cool faux embossed look.  I used the following die cuts: Scallop #2, Circles #2 and Lots of Tags.  The Old Olive circle cardstock was cut using the Circle Scissors.  Whooo Hooo!!! Then using the 1/2" circle punch I layered it over the tag and then punched a Rhinestone brad through it.  I really liked that look.  🙂  The stamp set is Trendy Tree’s.  I really {HEART} that set.  Very trendy and super cute.  (I have a SUPER cool class coming up in a week or so using this stamp set!  Stay tuned for a class to go using this set!  YOU really, really don’t want to miss it!)  The last thing I added on this card was the Sale-A-Bration ribbon.  Isn’t this great ribbon?  I really like it! Remember, during Sale-A-Bration when you spend $50 you could receive this awesome ribbon bundle for yourself.  Just go to my SHOP NOW button and shop away!

Okay, this second card is part of my midnight stamping!

Mr Owl

This card looks pretty similar to the card above.  Again, I used the Stampin’ Up! textured plates.  The Owl came from the Bright Delight Rub On’s.  WOW do I love these rub ons.  Love all the fun colors.  The vine comes from Cheep Talk.  I also added the fun new Designer Hardware.  Whoo Wee love these too.  If you have a crop a dile they are super easy to use.  The last product on here is the beautiful Kiwi Kiss polka dot ribbon.  That is called Pig Tails.  So fun.

Well, there you have it. A few fun projects to start out your stampin’ week.  More to share tomorrow so check back!

PS… I ate an entire box of Girl Scout cookies tonight.  Ahhhh… get them out of my house!!!

Super Valentine Treats!

Oh Yippie Skippy!  Tonight I had a super fun class here in my stamp room working on Valentine Treats.  Can’t wait to show them to you!

Movers & Shapers Die

Can you get excited about this super cute Bag Box using the Movers & Shapers Die Cut?  Last weekend I had a shoebox swap here at my house and my friend Kimberley is super talented and brought a swap similiar to this.  I was just so excited.  I love super cute things like this.  I used the Love Wheel with Iridescent Ice and then on the Top Note Die Cut I used the awesome Yummy Stamp set that YOU can receive FREE with your $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.  Very fun!  I embossed these with White Embossing Powder.

Next project was this super cute Scallop Box!  Another talented demonstrator Carol Taggert was the genius with this box.  Once again, the Big Shot shines again.  Really, I can’t live without it.

Scallop Circle Box

If you look super close (put your nose to the screen) you can see the textured plates that I used on this project.  Okay, maybe you can’t see it, but in real life super cute.  I used the Love You Much stamp set.  Great set.  I many of my customers are really enjoying this stamp set.

Next is a fun project that my friend Andrea Walford inspired me with.  Check this cutie out!

Valentines Candy kabob

Not the best shot of this Valentines Candy Kabob, but you can get the idea.  You could adapt these to any season.  We were a little sticky making them tonight, but they sure are fun and a big WOWZER for the kids.  Again, I used the Love You Much Stamp set.

Lastly, this is a super easy project that you can duplicate fast!  I call it my Kirklands Candy Wraps!  I know a few of you remember thisPOST and have asked for directions.  I’m sorry it’s taken this long to get them to you.  Super busy here in this stamp room.

Kirklands Candy Wrappers

So what are Kirklands Candy? These are super cool chocolate candy that I find at Costco that resemble those super expensive CHOXIES that you get at Target.  So, I’m cheap and I like to make this cute project all the time because it’s super fast and inexpensive.  Probably right up your alley?  Right?

Here are the directions to make this fun project!  Keep in mind these are quick directions.

111348 Riding Hood Red cardstock 3 ¾ x 8
113980 Candy Lane DSP 3 ½ x 5
113980 Candy Lane DSP 1 ¼ x 3 ¼
103104 Small Cello Bag
111363 Pink Pirouette Ribbon 21”
111351 Pink Pirouette cardstock ¾ x 5
1.      Score Riding Hood Red cardstock @ 2 ¼” along the 8"side.  Fold cardstock at score and scallop the edge using Scallop Edge Punch. Adhere DSP to Riding Hood Red cardstock as shown in photo.
2.      Wrap each Kirkland candy using DSP 1 ¼ x 3 ¼ and place in small cello bag. Place cello bag onto DSP using Sticky Strip and fold scalloped edge over Small Cello Bag. Staple in the middle so the cello bag stays in place.
3.      Wrap ribbon around top of cardstock and tie in a bow. Stamp banner and attach under bow.

Have a fabulous Wednesday!!

More thank you’s and gifties!

As you remember from last night I have been on a kick for making lots of Thank You’s!  Here are a few today!

Garden Greetings

This card uses Kiwi Kiss, Always Artichoke and Pink Pirouette Cardstock.  The stamp set I used was Garden Greetings and Chit Chat Rub On’s.

Petal Pizzaz

Honestly, at first  this card hurt my eyes because I am NOT use to the colors.  After all the cards I made, this one made me the happiest.  I guess it’s all the bright colors.  I dunno.  There is Real Red, Tangerine Tango, Pacific Point and Old Olive for stamping colors and cardstock.  I used Petal Pizzaz for the stamp set and the sentiment is from Elegant Thank You.  Lots of Iridescent Ice once again.

SAB Swap

This card has lots of fun stuff on it.  The stamp set is a Sale-A-Bration set called Yummy and the Designer Series Paper is from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.  The butterflies are from the new Stampin’ Up! Die Cut Beautiful Butterflies and I die cut them using the SAB Designer Paper.  I took the top butterfly and dipped it in Versamark and then placed Iridescent Ice on it.  Who could resist?

The Chocolate Chip cardstock has another Sale-A-Bration set called Polka Dot Punches.  Then lastly I used the Textured Plates on the Kraft Cardstock.  Oh boy.

Now, last project for the night is actually pretty simple and makes a great little gift for a friend or your honey!  I know quite a few of my customers have these fun tins with a clear lid.  I placed some fluffy stuff in the tin and then added some chocolate.

Valentine Tin

I used the Candy Lane Designer Paper and wrapped the tin.  Then I took the Riding Hood Red cardstock and wrapped it over the designer paper.  To add just a little bit of texture, I punched out some hearts using my Heart to Heart punch.  Lastly, I wrapped the tin with twill tape and added my little banner with the sentiment coming from the Yummy SAB set.
