Oh So Succulent- Sneak Peek

Oh So Succulent- Sneak Peek

The new Occasions catalog will be here before we know it and it’s going to knock your socks off.

I’m super excited to share a little sneak peek of one of the stamp sets, Oh So Succulent.

I have quite a few more sneak peeks I’ll be sharing over the next few weeks from the displays I created at the Stampin’ Up! conference.

The Oh So Succulent stamp set has an entire collection that coordinates, the best is the framelits.

Time for a Sneak Peek

Oh So Succulent, Stampin' Up!

One of the first things I thought about when using this set was creating a terrarium.

What better way to create that by using the Jar of Love stamp set and Everyday Jars framelits.

Once I had the jar die cut, I stamped the smaller succulent flowers inside the jar. I loved how this looked.

If you haven’t noticed already, Watercolor Paper has been one of my favorite papers to use.  I love how you can create a simple background with just a few brush strokes using your Aqua Painter.

I created the background using Bermuda Bay ink.  Dang!  This color rocks my world every single time.

Tips & Tricks

Oh So Succulent, Stampin' Up!

Here are a few tips and tricks when creating this card using the Oh So Succulent stamp set.

  • The Gold twine is one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog- Bakers Twine Trio Pack.  This twine is perfectly flexible and easy to tie a fantastic bow every single time.
  • The Music Note paper is from the This Christmas Designer Series Paper in the Annual Catalog.  Yes, it’s Christmas paper, but music notes have a wonderful vintage feel and make any project perfect when you add it.
  • The tiny scallop edge was created using the Layering Squares Framelits and cutting one edge of a scallop square.  These scallops are small and delicate looking.
  • Happy Birthday is only a portion of the greeting that comes with this stamp set.  I simply masked the rest of the greeting and embossed the image using White Embossing Powder onto Basic Black cardstock to create a chalkboard look.

Sweet Succulent

Believe it or not I have a green thumb.

After playing around with this stamp set I might have to get my own REAL succulent plant.

The only plant I’m well known for killing is an Orchid.

Do you have a succulent? Are there tricks to keeping it alive? I want it to be just as pretty as the stamp images in the Oh So Succulent stamp set.

I’d love to hear your thoughts and I definitely can’t wait for you to get your hands on this BEAUTIFUL stamp set.
