Boy, Stampin’ Up! has GREAT specials this month you really must check out! I want to share some samples of some birthday cards promoting some of my favorite Birthday stamp sets that are included in Stampin’ Up!’s 20th Anniversary Birthday special. How exciting that Stampin’ Up! is celebrating 20 years and what a GREAT company!
I’m CRAZY for this stamp set, Crazy for Cupcakes. I love cupcakes and I love coloring these cupcake images. This card is a little different than the average card. I started out with Gable Green cardstock 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and scored this at 3" and 7 1/2". I applied the Rainbow Sherbert Designer Series Paper on one side of the opening and then used Green Galore cardstock to make a belly band to keep this card closed. I love this image with the stacked cupcakes. I used a blender pen (love them) to color the image and matted it on Pink Passion using dimensionals. I also used the stamp set A Little Birthday Cheer. This is a pretty simple card. Again, I used Crazy for Cupcakes. I also used the coordinating standard wheel which is great for quick backgrounds or even tissue paper in gift bags. I stamped this image on Watercolor Paper (Stampin’ Up!’s watercolor paper is the BOMB!) I then colored it with a Aqua Painter (these are on special too!). I added a little dazzling diamonds onto the sprinkles on the frosting part of the cupcake and it just sparkles. I also popped up the frosting part of the cupcake using dimensionals. So fun!
