Mint Snowflakes, Maybe?

Mint Snowflakes, Maybe?

Snowflakes are doubtful in Florida but as a stamper I can make them any color I want.    I’ve got a few mint snowflakes I want to share with you today using the Flurry of Wishes stamp set.

My stamp room is busy busy these past few days.  Cathy and I are slinging products left and right.  We have been working on a really cool project that I can’t wait to share.  It’s no where near done but coming along very nicely.

It’s a possibility that my brain is on overdrive and my color choices were not very wide in range for today’s card. I think it’s caused by sleep deprivation.

Today’s card is most definitely a monochromatic theme but I loved how the Flurry of Wishes popped on the Mint Macaron cardstock.  The snowflakes are so delicate looking and shine perfectly on this color.

This is another card where I had a big mistake but the end result worked perfectly.  If you look closely at the card below you can see the embossing is not over the entire snowflake image.  There are a few possibilities why the embossing powder didn’t “catch” to the Whisper White ink but I think it’s safe to say I need to be a bit faster when throwing my embossing powder over wet ink.  I must have started chatting with Cathy and BOOM, ink dry.

As always though, I loved how it turned out.  Once embossed I took a sponge dauber and brightened the areas around the center of the snowflakes with the Mint Macaron ink.

I wanted to add some of the Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum to this card so I used the Vellum that had the trees.  This vellum is stunning.  Three different patterns and each of them are gorgeous.  Vellum is one of those embellishments that adds elegance to a project and perfect for layering too.

My favorite image in this stamp set is the greeting I used.  I love the font and how the flurry and Christmas stand out.  The Mint Macaron is the perfect color for anyone who loves vintage.

Tips & Tricks:

I created a ruffle using the  Holiday Fancy Foil Designer Vellum by folding a couple of folds on top of each other and then gave it a gentle press to stay in place.

The Tea Lace Doily, Whisper White cardstock and the Fancy Vellum were secured by using a few staples.  Then attach to the card base using dimensionals.

You can see all the products I used for this card below.
