A Week to Remember!

Normally I say time zoom's by and I'm running like a mad women to catch up.  Not last week.  While my title says a week to remember, I prefer to just let that week go, savor the memories and move on.  Besides, if I don't move on what good does it really do? Since I could write a book on the week's events I'll give you a few bullet points on my week:

*Brandon did not get accepted into a school program.  Very upsetting for this Mama due to the enormous issues we have dealt with this school year.  I'll chalk this up to a few people not listening to me. It's okay.  It's a middle school program, not Harvard.  <sigh>

*I had minor Oral Surgery.  Nothing to big.  Just a big crimp in my normal week activities but I survived.

*Alexis came down with Strep again.  The first Dr. visit didn't give us the time of day and told us she had Viral Pharyngitis.  The next day we were back in the office and I demanded she be tested for Strep.  Guess what? She has Strep.  She is on the mend and feeling her spunky self again.

There are a few more boring details about my week but the jist of it is there was no work going on and lots of TLC being given to all members of this family.

The good news is we are back into our normal routine and I'm doing a little catch up work today.  The kids are on Spring Break.  This means a little catch up on sleep for me.  WHOO HOOO!  I'm hoping to make it down to my stamp room later today.  I will have to dust a few stamps off and break out the ink.  They haven't been touched all week.  NOT GOOD.

Today I have a digital page I worked on a bit over the last week.  Yes, it took me a week to finish.  Silly.

Kimberly Van Diepen Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I used a new download from last week.  I love this new stamp brush called Epic Overlays Stamp Brush Set – Digital Download 129927

Here's the stamp brush:

I love the letters and I love the word "EPIC!"  Brandon uses this word all the time and it makes me laugh.  He typically uses it on me saying, "That was an Epic Fail, Mama!"

Anyways, here are a few more of the downloads I used.

Day in the Life DSP

Square punch

Downtown Grunge Frames

First Edition DSP

Tickets & Tags

Font-Clipper Script

I hope you have a FANTASTIC day.  I have a little more work to do today and then I'm off to enjoy my kids and Spring Break.

XOXOXO

  1. Has she had her tonsils out?    My son years ago had strept quite a few times and it made his tonsils pitted so they took them out and he was hardly sick after that".   Linda

  2. Hi Linda,
She hasn’t had them out YET. I have a funny feeling it could be on the horizon with as many cases of Strep that she has had. Big bummer for her. It seems to always happen on the eve of a big Girl Scout event. Breaks my heart.

  3. Great page!  Alexis is such a cutie!
I hope all of you are feeling much better by now!  🙂  My son had his tonsils and adenoids out when he was 5 (spent just about every month until then at the doctor's office), and it really does help tremendously!
I'm so sorry Brandon didn't get into the program at school.  We had an upset like that here last month.  My son is a freshman in an IB program here.  Very hard to get in…500-600 applicants and 150 or less chosen.  My daughter applied this year, and she didn't get accepted.  She was devastated at first, but then we chalked it up to she is meant to be somewhere else.  I think she is ok with it now.  😉
    Have a blessed Easter!
