For the LOVE of Stencils!

*NEW Stamps in the Mail and Scraps in the Mail Starting May 5th!  Click on the links for all the latest details of these awesome programs!

Did you know that Stampin’ Up! carried Stencils?   I think it’s a product that is tucked away and not seen much. You can find these beautiful stencils on the last page of our Decor Elements brochure.   I am in love with our stencils and find they are priced perfectly and I use them for everything except their intention!  Let me show you!

Here is a scrapbook page my clubs did this month:

At the top of the layout you will see the beautiful Kind Thoughts Stencil.  I used Ruby Red Craft ink and Sponge Daubers and inked the entire image onto Ruby Red Cardstock.  Then I poured Clear Embossing Powder over the wet image and embossed it.  It’s so glossy looking and made this an elegant page.  It’s a simple layout with a lot of punch!

Now, hang on to yourself… this one turned out pretty darn cool:

Mothers Day is just around the corner and here is a very special gift I am sure any Mother would appreciate it.  This uses our 6 x 6 Linen Ring Album and I used the Kind Thoughts Stencil once again with Acrylic paint.  Actually, lots of different colors.  I love the elegance the stencil added to this album.  You can take an ordinary album and make it super special with just a few products.  Stay tuned as I will share some SUPER Elegant 6 x 6 pages with you tomorrow.   You can find all the products I used below.  Remember, you can purchase any of these products by simply hitting the Order Online button to your right.  It’s super easy and goes straight to your door!

Watercolor Therapy

One of my favorite tools to play with in my stamp room is my watercoloring tools.  I love watercoloring and to me its just therapy.  It’s so relaxing.  I’ve been working on some Mother’s Day cards for a freind and I wanted to share a few with you.  My friend is probably wondering where her cards are!   Eeek!  They are all finished now and headed to Mr. Mail Dude tomorrow.

I am so ExCiTeD!

Published by Kimberly under Big Shot, Cards, Misc

I’m excited I am HERE to blog!  Once again my time flew by so fast.  All the while having fun stamping and scrapbooking.  It really has been a whirlwind few weeks.  I was lucky enough to travel to the east coast last weekend to speak at my fellow demonstrator and friend, Janet Wakelands demo meeting.  WOW there was talent in that room.  I had a blast and I loved meeting so many GREAT demonstrators.  I was pretty WOW’d by all the samples they had!  It was an amazing weekend.  A BIG huge hug to Janet for hosting me and all the gracious things she did for me that weekend.  She is just awesome.  Thanks to many of my friends that drove quite a few miles to come to the meeting.  I am grateful!  Guess what I didn’t bring?  Yes, my camera.  WHAT WAS I THINKING????  Jeesh!

Anyways, once I came home I really had back to back classes and clubs and have just been busy busy!  I have a stack of stuff piled by my desk to share with you so get ready for lots of sharing.   Take a step into my stamp room for just a second.  Earlier this week I had my Big Shot School.  I love this class because all of my customers own their big shot and it’s a class they can come learn the in’s & outs of the Big Shot as well as out of the box ideas.  If it’s one thing I’ve learned, there is LOTS to learn with the Big Shot.  Meaning…there are TONS of projects to be made with this awesome machine.

Here is a fun card we did that night:

Upsy Daisy Scallop Card

I *LOVE* making these scallop cards using my Scallop Circle Die Cut.   I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set on Chocolate Chip cardstock using Whisper White craft ink and then sprinkled my favorite sparkles, Iridescent Ice and heated it up.  I placed a piece of Kraft cardstock on the bottom half of the circle and used my Spritzer tool with a Chocolate Chip marker and "puffed" it over the Kraft cardstock.  Have you ever tried this crazy fun tool???   Oh jeesh.   Pretty addicting.  I love this tool.  So do my kids. :)

The last part of this card I used the Lots of Tags and cut it in half.  I used the Great Friend (love it) stamp set and stamped the "For You" on it.  I punched a 3/4" circle punch and placed it over the tag for a fun new look.  I love the Lots of Tags Sizzlets and really think its a great addition to your stamp room.  The base of my cardstock is Ruby Red.

I wish you a FABULOUS week and look forward to sharing more this week with you.  P. S. It’s snowing outside.  Just shoot me!

Soft Summer Gift Card

Published by Kimberly under 3-D

Good afternoon my friends!  I have a quick post today sharing a fun gift card that we made at my demo meeting last weekend.  We made 5 very fun projects I will be sharing this week.  This is a fun gift card holder using the new Large Grommets and the stamp set Soft Summer.  The flower is stamped on Watercolor paper and then watercolored with Pink Pirouette, Old Olive and a little So Saffron ink using a blender pen.   I couldn’t help but add some Dazzling Diamonds in the center of the flower as well.  :)

Time to pick up my beauties from school.  Don’t know about you, but I am so glad today is FRIDAY!

Have a super weekend!!!

It’s a beautiful scene!  I really love to watercolor for so many reasons.  The main reason is for the pure relaxation.  I love to just play with colors and add and shade and take away color.  I find watercoloring to be almost fool proof especially when using watercolor paper.  For this card I used Stampin’ Up!’s watercolor paper with ink pads and a blender pen.  I love using our blender pens on the watercolor paper.

This card uses the new Scene in a Garden and the main push for me to get this set was the cutie patootie boots.  Oh I love those BOOTS!  The sentiment comes from the stamp set Great Friend. I also sponged our NEW 5/8" Whisper White Satin Ribbon.  I love Whisper White ribbon.  So many options!

Did you notice my new blog banner?  I am super excited about it.  Thanks to Michelle Laycock for a wonderful job on all the graphics.  It made me smile today!

Hope your week is super fabulous!!
