Last night I said I would post a pretty card and it’s time to reveal. Actually, I have two cards. I’m keeping to my word and trying to catch up on all the birthday peeps. I have A LOT to catch up! :) Here is my first card:

This card uses a few stamp sets. I used Upsy Daisy with White Craft ink and Iridescent Ice. Then I stamped the Butterflies the same way and cut them out and popped them up on the flower with glue dots. I sponged around the edges to give a shabby look. Those butterflies are soooooooo fun.
Here is another card I am really excited about. I have been dying to try new fun products besides cardstock in my Big Shot. The other day I picked up some felt and fleece at the craft store. Here is what I came up with:

I almost jumped up and down after I rolled the fleece out of the big shot. Glad no one was here in my stamp room. I was so excited. Isnt’ that the coolest thing???? It is so thick and cut BEAUTIFULLY. We all know how much I love the Felt Flurries. Now I can make my own felt or fleece flowers for cards or scrapbook pages. This really made my day. I used my Forever Flowers Wheel (Amazing Wheel) on the bottom of the card with VersaMark and then embossed again with Iridescent Ice. I used the big Pink Pirouette ribbon around the card and then cut my fleece out with my big shot using the Flower Layers with Leaf Die Cut. The fleece is the SAME color as Pink Pirouette. (jaw dropping) WOW. Then I went to my Flower Fusion stash… I have a lot, and put some of those on top of the flowers I cut. Then I pulled out the pretty new Button Bouquet in the catalog and sewed them on with Linen Thread and the needle from my tool kit. Lastly I added the sentiment. I LOVE this card. This makes me happy. So, if you are contemplating the Big Shot… I highly recommend it. This is one of the best tools I have used in FOREVER!!!!

Wow! This week has been crazy and I can’t believe FRIDAY is here. I’ve had a lot of classes I have been working on that I’m really excited about as well as a few deadlines that I procrastinated until the bitter end. Then lastly I had to take a few hours to clean my house. Not something I enjoy at all. However, the floors in my kitchen were DISGUSTING and I couldn’t stand seeing Alexis slide on the floor any longer without me cleaning it.
I have a few things to share that I thought were cute and I have a beautiful card that I will share tomorrow. The camera battery went kapooie as I was trying to upload tonight. Go figure.
Now, let me announce something about myself that I think most my friends and family know! I SUCK AT SENDING CARDS! I am great about sending downline cards, but I truly SUCK at sending birthday cards. I am on a misson to redeem myself. Tonight I worked on a few cards and I have too many friends and family that had to be born in September and October. Jeesh! I do love them all dearly!
Here is a simple little card with Pocket Silhouettes. Isn’t that a fun stamp set? I really love how simple the cards can be with this set.

With the many craft shows coming up, I am trying to work on a few different things to have on my table. Every year I usually do all the poopies and soups. Last year my craft show partner in crime did the most darling ones. I took a break. This year I wanted to do something different. I played with this idea tonight: Note, I used the star punch for the nose.

Boy, that Top Note Die Cut is by far the best die cut I have ever used. Recently a demo friend of mine came to my meeting and she brought all these cute little Christmas characters made with the Top Note. I didn’t get a picture, so this is what my brain remembered. Inside the tin will hold hot cocoa, marshmellows, chocolate chips and a candy cane. Perfect little gift for teachers or a friend. Maybe even the family member that doesn’t like the cold weather. Dang… I should make one for myself.
Then keeping on the hot cocoa idea, here is another little something:

Once again I used that yummy chubby ribbon that is just awesome. I also used the Christmas Rub ons "Sugar and Spice." I can’t remember if this is the one in the Holiday Mini but I love them. Again, the Top Note Die was used as a topper. Simple little gift. This is just a 3 1/2 x 12 piece of cardstock folded to fit a Hot Cocoa pack. I used the Coluzzle to make my circle opening. It wasn’t easy trying to figure exactly where the hole should be.
Hope you’ve enjoyed! Have a super weekend and check back tomorrow for another "pretty" birthday card.

That’s actually a JOKE! I only like fake snowflakes. I’m afraid the real ones are coming sooner than I want. Tonights midnight stamping had to be quick since I am up much later than I wanted to be. I love the Ski Slope Designer paper and yesterday I shared two cards using it. Tonight I used the same paper and I love these big snowflakes on the paper.

I tried something a little different that I always see Brent Steele do at convention. He is always stamping on top of Designer paper and I love it. I just never do it. Tonight I used my favorite EP, Iridescent Ice and stamped the pretty snowflake from the stamp set Winter Post directly onto the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. You can barely see it in the picture, but it really is pretty. I used a Top Note Die and cut it in half and stamped Happy Holidays from Many Merry Messages. Then just added a little cute clip from the Clip Assortments and there ya have it. Quick and easy.
Earlier today I had this idea of something I wanted to do with the Felt Flurries. Well, it didn’t really pan out the way I wanted it to, but here is my go at it.
Let me explain… I was trying to make the felt flurries look like lace. Well, it didn’t happen. I still like the card but it weighs a little much. I love the little banner Merry Christmas. Once again I used my NEW favorite stamp set Winter Post. Very fun stamp set.
Off to bed for me.

I love the new Felt Flurries in the Holiday Mini Catalog. They really add a nice touch on any card you make with them. Tonights card is a simple Christmas card made with theBig Felt Flurries.

This card uses Kraft cardstock and the Ski Slope designer series paper. I used my Scallop Edge Punch on the Whisper White and then placed a Big Felt Flurrie onto the card with a Rhinestone. The bottom half of the card uses the Polka Dot Background stamp with Iridescent Ice EP.

Here is another version of a simple Christmas card using another Big Flurrie. This time I used Ski Slope on the bottom half of the card and the stamp set Deer Friends (Level 2 Hostess Set) for the inside area of the Big Flurrie.
Here is a closer look:

Have a fabulous week!

Who knew that getting up at 6am could make a stampin’ girl just whipped. The kids and I got up early Saturday to do my church Craft show. The kids were really excited about the day until they figured out we would be there for 6 hours. Instantly their faces went a little cold. "Say What, Mom?" They helped me set up and our day started…..
S-L-O-W-L-Y! Honestly, it ended that way too. I ended up leaving slightly earlier than planned because the kids were just DONE! I give them credit for putting up with me that long.
Anyways, I wanted to follow up on the tins I spoke about yesterday! These tins HERE can be found at www.specialtybottle.com. Thanks to so many of you that helped me out with those. My tin pimp Peggy found them again and once she mentioned the name I remembered! I remember having a camp planned with them last year and they were backordered for 3 months. I’m sure that was because of a demonstrator frenzy with them. LOL! They are great tins and you can fit 12 nuggets inside them. If you jazz up those nuggets, they are SUPER cute. Oh and get this…. the other day I was at Costco. I found the best chocolate to wrap. Cheap-o too. It is Kirkland’s Chocolate and the greatest part is they remind me of Choxie’s that you find at Target. Those little things are expensive, but look so cute wrapped in designer paper. Okay, nuf about chocolate and wrapping it.

The other day I was strolling through Target once again. I found these Blackberry candy canes packaged pretty. I took the pretty packaging off and made my own. The candy canes are individually wrapped so I stuffed them into a Medium Cello bag. I doubled the wrapping because the canes are skinny. This idea came directly from the Holiday Mini Catalog!

I used quite a few products on this: Top Note Die Cut, Tasty Sweet stamp set, All Holidays stamp set, Frames & Flourishes stamp set, Basic Black Grosgrain Ribbon and that fun rope in the Mini Catalog. Oh, I love it. Of course I used a lot of Kraft cardstock. I know, can’t get away from it. Just love it. I also really like that Tasty Sweet stamp set. Great Halloween images in that set.

One last Topper that I made using the Chills & Thrills Rub On’s:
