Pedal Pusher- Stampin’ Up!

Pedal Pusher- Stampin’ Up!

One of the latest stamp sets for Sale-a-Bration is the Pedal Pusher stamp set.  Super cute stamp set with a bicycle built for two.

I’m a push over for bicycle images but this set got me on one little greeting: “Let me pedal for a while.”

This greeting instantly brought back memories of a time during Russ’ recovery from his stroke.  A time when I had to look at him and say, “Let me take over for a while”- “Let me PEDAL for a while!”  That one little statement eased a lot of burden off of him and let him concentrate on the things he needed to work on- physically getting better.

Interestingly enough, once the physical portion was better and he felt like he could take over the pedaling again, the emotional recovery came into place.  Once again I had to pedal for us for a while.  That’s what we do for each other, right?

While it may feel like a burden to take on something for someone of great intensity,  can you imagine the peace it brings to them? A lifted weight so to speak.

If you know someone who needs to hear this, this set covers it.

Pedal Pusher, Stampin' up!,

Add the cutest little chubby birds… this set was a “NEED!” It trumped all of my wants…..

Pedal Pusher

Can this be any sweeter? This touches my soul.  Now that Russ is doing amazing and he’s pedaling on his own,  I immediately think of God when I need him to pedal for ME.   Maybe I need to frame this.

Hold the cuteness for just a second.  The birds.  Oh friends!  The birdies looking at each other.  <<<<CUTE NESS OVERLOAD>>>>

Since my abundance of Washi Tape sits close to my desk I needed to use it.  Washi Tape is by far my favorite thing to hoard. The mounds that I have is almost embarrassing to share… I try to use it as much as I can but I think I could Washi Tape across America without a problem and possibly have left over to use.  <sad truth>

Encouragement

I believe this stamp set holds a powerful message that we can send to a friend or family member.  There is always a time when we need to rest and let someone else take the pedals and carry us through a moment in life.   Sometimes we may not have the words to convey that message. What better way than a sweet card like this one?

You can see all the products I used below for this project in the clickable links.

Pedal Pusher is a FREE photopolymer stamp set when you purchase $50 in regular merchandise from any of our catalogs.

Okay… More Encouragement

Looking for more encouragement? Hope you don’t mind me sharing…

This weekend Russ and I hosted 13 teenage girls for a weekend church camp called D-Now. Powerful weekend spent with amazing girls.

Truly I don’t have the words for what I experienced except love.  Russ and I loved every minute.

We worshiped with the girls at a near by church.  This is one of the songs we sang.

I cannot carry a tune to save my life…. I sang this at the top of my lungs.

This song filled my soul.  I hope it does for you.

Love you!

Because You’re Awesome!

Because You’re Awesome!

You are.  You are awesome! Isn’t it nice to hear that?  If it’s one thing that I love about the Botanicals For You stamp set, it’s this greeting. This stamp set is a FREE stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog.

I think we can all enjoy a little bit of this kind of mail more often.  I’ve said it 1000x before- sending my cards is my biggest struggle. It’s something I’m getting much better about and it makes me SO happy making others smile.

Awesome, Botanicals For You, Stampin' Up!

Botanicals For You

The Daffodil Delight ink with this stamp created a fun and bright card.  It’s a color I don’t use often enough I’ve found.

To create a softer look to the card I added the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum over the Daffodil Delight ink.

Awesome, Botanicals For You, Stampin' Up!

You will notice these pieces are slightly off set.  I did this on purpose although I’m noticing I should wear my glasses more when I stamp.  I love that little peek of color coming from the Vellum but I also love the soft feel of the vellum overlay.  I am a HUGE fan of Vellum right now.

I added another piece of Vellum Cardstock across the card and stamped the greeting using White Embossing Powder.

Another NEW element you see are the It’s My Party Enamel Dots in the Occasions Catalog.  The colors of the dots are Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo, and Mint Macaron.

Tips & Tricks:

I used the Lots of Labels Framelits for the large greeting- Just for You.  Fit perfectly.

To keep the Vellum in place and not see any adhesive show through I used my Handheld Stapler and stapled the Daffodil Delight and Vellum together in the center. This way the Label Framelit covered it.

Tell me what you think.  Is Daffodil Delight a color you use frequently? I’m a bit in love with how bright it is.  Could be the gloomy winter days we’ve had in Florida for awhile.

Have an awesome day!

XOXOXO

Let’s Get the Party Started!

Flowering Fields

Party, Flowering Fields, Stampin' Up!

There are 3 FREE products wrapped up in this card.  They include, Flowering Fields ( stamp set I used to stamp the flowers),  Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper, and then if you look closely you will see a few Vellum Circles.  The Vellum is from the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum Stack.

Create it

Party, Flowering Fields, Stampin' Up!

To create this card I punched circles in all sizes from 1-1/4 up to 1-3/4 in size.  Then I layered each of the circles across the Whisper White cardstock.

I did a quick stitch across the circles so that they would stay in place.

The greeting is from the Cottage Greetings stamp set embossed with Gold Embossing Powder on Vellum Cardstock.  I idd a quick stitch on the end of the Vellum to keep it intact.  I added two staples on the other end to hold in place.

What I Love- Literally!

What I Love- Literally!

I’m sharing a combination of what I love from the Sale-a-Bration catalog today and one stamp set is literally called What I Love.

I call that perfection when that happens.

What I Love- Sale-a-Bration

What I Love stamp set, Hello Stamp set, Stampin' Up!

The flower image in this set can be stamped in 3 layers. Looks beautiful when I line it up correctly.  For this card I wanted to keep it simple.

I stamped the outline flower image using 3 different colors and I love how this turned out.  I used Bermuda Bay, Pear Pizzaz and Daffodil Delight for my inks.

What I Love stamp set, Hello Stamp set, Stampin' Up!

I kept the center simple by using the Hello stamp set from the Sale-a-Bration catalog as well. I love this big hello image.  This stamp set will only be available for a limited time.  Make sure it’s on your list early into Sale-a-Bration.

The tiny scallops was created using the Cupcake Builder punch.  I added a two Gold Metallic Doilies behind the label framelit to add a pop of color to the card.  The last little detail was the Gold Metallic Thread.  I’m slightly addicted to this product at the moment.

In just one day the NEW catalogs will launch and I can’t wait to hear what you think.  It’s going to be a great adventure with these new products.

Back to the Normals of Life

Tuesday marks the day when the kids go back to school and the normal days start once again.  I’m not kidding you… I’m dragging my feet.

It took 3 days to get our home back to the non Christmas state.  It’s never taken this long so I don’t know what happened but we were slow as turtles taking it down.  Russ says we are doing it the way it should be done…. take a few ornaments off the tree then rest. A few decorations away, then rest.  He’s right. I think that’s exactly what happened.

Regardless, it’s time to get back to reality:
