It’s not just about the Dude!

Surely you've heard the latest Dude buzz…  "Dude, You're Welcome!" It's the coolest "DUDE" kit just for guys or so they said.  It's filled with a cool sticker, "Dude" ink (Basic Gray), and stamps perfect for the "Dude" in the Dog House.  I had to have one and passed it directly to Russ and explained the "Dude" kit would hang in a special place in MY stamp room.  Of course while this may be labeled HIS stamp kit, I couldn't wait to sneak my little hands on it.

When Stampin' Up! rolled out this new kit I immediately giggled.  Not because it's for a dude. Oh no.  I love it because it's got EDGE!  Like a man's shaving cream.  I couldn't wait to ink up the #%&@! stamp.  Oh my, it's PERFECT.  Okay, so my Prince may be missing a stamp image in his "kit" because I stole it.  I could make a plenty of cards with this little stamp.  It's perfect for my "edgy" friends.

After taking this kit on a test run, I came up with a grand conclusion- It's not JUST for the DUDE in your life! Dudette's will love it too.

Whether you are a dude or dudette, this kit is sure to bring a smile to your face when you use it.  Feeling EDGY? You can find the Dude, You're Welcome kit in my Online Store.  You can see all the products I used for this card below.

Dressing Up Stampin’ Up! Style!

When I was little I *LOVED* playing dress up.  The funny thing is my love affair with dressing up hasn't changed as I've gotten older.

There is something about getting all dolled up.  It makes me feel a little bit taller you might say.  This is probably the case because most days I love to sit in my yoga pants! What about you?

Dressing up is even more fun now with Stampin' Up! and their new All Dressed Up Bundle.

I paired this bundle with the Pop-Up Posie Designer Kit and went to town.  The little dress forms are so fun and girlie.

To create the frame I had a small peg board and I ruffled the ribbon around it using the 7/8" Cotton Ribbon and a Glue Gun.  The Cotton ribbon is a carry over item from the Holiday Mini.  Love that.

I'll have another video showing another dress form tomorrow.

The Fun Has Begun!

Hello from Salt Lake City, UT!  I almost didn't make the flight but someone was looking out for me and HERE I am.  Phew.  It was perfect timing of events for my friends arriving as well.  We all arrived around the same time and then we were off in the rental car to explore places we've always wanted to see.  It's all about the shopping. I was finally able to see the awesome Dear Lizzy Boutique.  Oh my, SO cute and OH so fun.   We had a blast.

Over the next few days I'll be sharing my trip and of course my swaps and pretties that I've made for my team.  I'm super excited to show you what I've been up to.

I'll be sharing my swaps starting Wednesday so stay tuned.

Here is a card I made for a few friends.

This card uses the Life Shared stamp.  It only comes in wood and it's one of our single stamps. I'm using the Storytime Designer Paper. I love, love this paper.  I plan to use this paper over the school year for fun teach gift ideas.  Can you imagine making paper cone wreaths, school time banners and so much more with it.  Yippie.

I colored this stamp in using Blender Pens and my ink pads.  Super easy.

It's time for me to get busy and do a little more sight seeing before the craziness begins.  We have a few fun things up our sleeves for today.

You can find all these great products in my Online Store

Make your day a GREAT one.

XOXOXO

It was HER day!

Yesterday my sweet princess turned 9! WOW does time fly.  The biggest hit of the day was having her dad home for her birthday.  I remember when we sat the kids down to tell them Russ was going overseas and the FIRST thing Alexis said to him was, "You're going to miss my birthday!"

We celebrated her day ALL day yesterday.  She really was treated with royalty.  Brandon wanted to start her day off right by serving her breakfast in bed.  I couldn't believe this was his idea.  The kids are going through the "stop looking at me" stage.  I was relieved to still hear kindness from there mouths.

Here is the start of her day!

Brandon was wearing the Justin Bieber hat when he woke Alexis up.  He told her it was cold and maybe she should wear it.  Again, I wanted to faint from all the *LOVE* I was seeing.

Russ and I had lunch with the Princess at school.  She really wanted to go to the American Girl Doll store in DC but the only thing I could think about was the traffic getting there.  I compromised with her and said we will go this weekend. Instead I took her to have a Pedicure.  Of course I enjoyed one too. <smile>

Extremely relaxing!  We both enjoyed.  We came home to pick up the boys and then we were off to her "spot" for dinner.  After dinner we topped the evening off with a fun birthday cake and 9 spankings and a pinch to grow an inch!

I used all kinds of new products on this card.  The stamp set is called Sweet Cake.  Super cute and the BEST thing I love about this card is something you cannot really SEE or SMELL! I added the Vanilla Scented Stampin' Emboss Powder to the swirls on the cupcake.  LOVE that we have these embossing powders. We also carry Melon and Cherry.  How fun is that? I used a VersaMarker so that I could emboss in that tiny area.  She could smell the Vanilla as soon as she opened it.

Other fun products on this card that I used would be the Sweet Shop DSP.  I love that this DSP can be used for so many occasions.  From Birthday, Valentines or just a Candy kind of card.  Very fun.  I used the new pleated ribbon along with some new Lucky Limeade Bakers Twine.  I even used some Seam Binding ribbon.  Lots of fun things.

As always, you can find all these fun products in my Online Store

This weekend Alexis has her birthday party with friends.  I'll share her birthday invitation soon.  She is having a Doll & Me Tea with her friends at a special tea shop.  I'm not sure who is more excited, her or myself.

Have a fabulous week!
