Glamper Greetings Stamp Set

Glamper Greetings Stamp Set

Happy New Year!

I spent all of New Year’s day taking down our Christmas decorations and making my family crazy while I put up Valentine’s decorations.

Every time they would take the Christmas decorations out to the shed… another heart shaped decoration went up.

It’s okay.  These people I live with know I’m crazy and know I’d get CRAZY if they made fun of me.

Regardless of my crazy, I’m super excited for the new year.  Not because last year wasn’t great, I just love fresh starts like I love Monday’s.

Don’t Miss Out!

In other news… today I’m sharing a great selection of cards with you using the Glamper Greetings stamp set.

It’s crazy how time flies and soon this stamp set will not be available for purchase.

Let’s Get Started!

First of all, the Glamper Greetings stamp set was one of the first sets from the Holiday catalog on my must have list.

Being a huge fan of this type of “glamper” I love all of the options included in this stamp set.

Remember, this stamp set is only available until January 3rd.  There are only a few more days left to grab this stamp set.

Glamper Greetings, Suite Seasons, Stampin' Up!

While any style card would be easy to create using this set, I thought a fun fold would be perfect.

Tricks & Tips

  • Create the card base using Whisper White cardstock measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″.
  • Score cardstock at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″. Fold at the 2-3/4″ mark and adhere.

The front panel measures 3″ x 3-3/4″ using Watercolor Paper.

The Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper is a perfect match with this stamp set. Have you noticed how the cactus is a very trendy image in stores? Check out Target right now and see how many Cactus images you can spot.  It’s a pretty hot item.

Mixing Cardstock

Mixing different colors of cardstock is one of my favorites.  Most of all, using Crumb Cake cardstock to watercolor.

Tricks & Tips

  •  Stamp the glamper onto the base of the Whisper White cardstock.  Then stamp the glamper again onto a Whisper White circle die cut.  Once again,  stamp the glamper onto Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut this image.
  • While this may seem like a little overkill, this will create great dimension for the focal image.

Tips & Tricks

  • Timeless Textures is a fantastic stamp set to add texture below the glamper.
  • Use Moroccan Designer Washi Tape on the right side of the card.
  • The glamper was watercolored using Bermuda Bay ink and an Aqua Painter.

Simple or Dramatic

One of the things I love about this set is the options you have to create simple or a more dramatic scene with this set.

This pink glamper is the cutest. Whether you are using pink or another one of the many color choices Stampin’ Up! offers there are many great options to create a fun glamper image.

Fewer embellishments and a simple watercolored background are used to create this card.

Below you will notice the same card using a few more embellishments.

Glamper Greetings, Suite Seasons, Stampin' Up!

Tips & Tricks

  • Add glitter to the card by taking an OLD Aqua Painter, dipping it into a mixture of Tombow Multipurpose Glue and a little water.  Create splatter with the glue mixture by flicking the Aqua Painter bristles over your cardstock, add the glitter, shake off excess.
  • Adding sequins is easiest by using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  The small point on this glue pen provides a precision of each small embellishment without getting glue everywhere.

Wrapping it Up!

Whether you are a big camper or not, the Glamper Greetings has a place for everyone.  While I’m not a huge camper at all, there is something about the cuteness factor glamping brings. Probably because glamper’s are glamorized many ways just like stamping.

Christmas Glamper Greetings

Christmas Glamper Greetings

When I first laid my eyes on the Glamper Greetings stamp set, I knew I had to have it.

This stamp set was FIRST on my wish list and first to be opened.

Then it sat on my craft table forever.

It wasn’t until I was asked to share this stamp set in Atlanta that it finally was used.

Do you have a similar story? I’d love to know what set is patiently waiting for you to use.

Two Cards Two Ways

My goal for sharing this set included sharing a wow version and a simple version.

Both versions are completely duplicatable.

WOW Factor

The only reason I’m going to give this card a label of “WOW” is because of the extra elements I used.

Plus it does have some fussy cutting.

Be honest… are you a lover or hater of fussy cutting?

I love fussy cutting… but I know it’s not everyones favorite.

I find fussy cutting relaxing. Call me CRAZY!!

A few of the extra’s I included consisted of the following:

  • Mini Jingle Bells
  • Red Metallic Thread
  • Designer Series Paper

Glamper Greetings, Stampin' Up!

One of my favorite elements on this card includes the Mini Jingle Bells.  I’ve definitely used these on many projects this year.

Glamper Greetings, Stampin' Up!

One thing that is hard to capture in the photo is the Red Glitter Embossing Powder.

It’s just enough sparkle and fun to watch that glitter get shiny when you heat it. That’s a WOW!

I used Kraft cardstock for the base of my card.  A very simple background was created using the glamper image and VersaMark.

Simple and Fun

Now let me share a little skimmed down version.  It’s not much of a change, but notice the subtle differences.

Glamper Greetings, Stampin' Up!

What you probably notice right away  is there is no Designer Series Paper.  It’s a simple change, but one that I thought made a pretty big difference.

One other bling factor I added to this card is the sequins.  A simple yet fun way to spruce up any card.

Glamper Greetings, Stampin' Up!

The Red Glimmer Paper was a perfect addition for both card.

Glamper Greetings, Stampin' Up!

The Glamper Greetings stamp set has REALLY cute and tiny images to create holiday cards for all seasons and can be used all year long.

Regardless of a wow or simple version using this stamp set, the card is going to be darling.

I mean… the glamper… HELLO! SO cute!

I have a few more cards I’ll be sharing using this stamp set over the next week.

Christmas Theme-TGIF Challenge

Christmas Theme-TGIF Challenge

TGIF, Challenges, Stampin' Up!

Happy Friday! It’s time for a Christmas theme challenge.  Well, actually I’ve screwed it up a bit so keep reading to find out the real challenge!

This might be the first time I tell you that I’m not happy to see Friday come as my bestie hops on a plane headed back to Colorado on Saturday.

I’ve thought of many ways I could get her to stay but I am sure she is ready to get back to the daily grind of her life.  Then again… maybe not.  We’ve had so much fun creating together.

Laughing.

Crying.

Joy.

That’s how it always goes when she is in my home.  All of us enjoy her.  The kids start laughing across the house when they hear her giggle because she has that laugh thats contagious.  You start laughing when you don’t even know why you are laughing.

I’m sure you can think of someone that brings you just as much joy.  I think these are the times that we need to bottle up all the joy and savor the days.  On a blue day I can probably start laughing when I think about her giggle.

Today’s card was completely inspired by our antique junking on Tuesday this past week.  We found the cutest little metal glamper’s and bought them all at one shop.  At the time we had no idea what we would do with them but knew they would be needed somehow.  This is how I justify things to Russ.  “Honey, I needed this.  Really!”

The man selling the little cars was “slashing” prices before our eyes and like a typical female shopper the slashing prices “GOT ME!”  I’m pretty sure Cathy bought way more than me but I’ll let that slide…

Oh- The Christmas Theme

The card should have been interpreted a bit different.  I think I had a blonde moment.  The theme this week for our TGIF challenge is White Christmas.  I failed miserably.  I thought it was only Christmas… Pretend you see MANY snowflakes falling and LOTS of white.  <grin>

The funny part, I used the White Christmas stamp set to complete this card.  <score!>

Look how sweet that little Glamper looks with the tree on it.  I’m in love.

Christmas Theme, TGIF Challenge

Tips & Tricks-

I watercolored the glamper using Watercolor Paper and my Aquapainter using Blushing Bride and Watermelon Wonder ink.

The “rough” images beneath the glamper are images from a new stamp set called Timeless Textures.  It’s AMAZING and you will love it.  Its a set that can be used on almost every project.

The Gold Foil banner at the top of the card was created using the Washi Label and then cutting that in half.
