Merry Littel Label Gift Set

One might think at first glance of the Merry Little Labels stamp set that it would only be used for creating tags for gifts. However, when you look at this adorable set you will notice it’s perfect to create your handmade cards as well.

It’s important to note that this bundle of products will help you create beautiful tags for the holidays with ease! Not only is the stamp set adorable, but look how fun and coordinating the Everyday Label Punch is.  You can zip through creating tags quickly.

I created a super simple tag for this card using Cherry Cobbler ink.  I love how the fonts stand out.

Just Add Little Details

I believe it’s the little details that add the mighty punch to any crafting project. That’s why I love to add the tiny details to my crafting when I can.  Okay… maybe that is all the time. Ha!

Here are a few little details I fell in love with…

  • I used the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch to add the small scallop border above the music note paper.  It added a little pop of color and a sweet little detail.
  • The Black & White 7/8″ Striped Ribbon across the card added a smidge more accent to bring out the black and white from my pattern paper.
  • The Delicate White Doily was added right underneath the ribbon for a delicate touch.  It’s no surprise that one of my little details would be a doily.  It’s hard for me not to add them to anything.  It just adds that extra frilly when I need it, which by the way is all the time.
  • Lastly, one of my favorite new details is using the Bakers Twine doubled to create a fuller bow to my cards.  The twine behind the Bakers Twine is from the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon.  I simply separated the twine and used a piece coiled behind the Bakers Twine.

What little details do you like to add to your cards? I’d love to hear.

The Complete Gift Set

Merry Little Labels, Artisan Blog Hop, Stampin' Up!

The Mini Pizza Boxes are one of my favorites right now.  I love how easy these boxes are to put together, plus factor in there is NO adhesive necessary and you have a BIG winner in my book.  Another flashy detail is how quickly and easily they are to embellish.  Plus you get 8 boxes in one package for only $6. Hello… that is awesome.

You may be wondering what can fit in this cute box?

  • 3 x 3 cards
  • Gift Cards
  • Candy (chocolate of course!)

To embellish I used a designer paper wrapped around the box then added some of my favorite little details.  The label was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink to match my card.  Notice how this label fits in the coordinating punch.  It’s perfect.

When I first had a glance at this stamp set my eye balls quickly was drawn to the beautiful deer.  I love both of these beautiful images.  I also love the large greeting fonts.

Outlines and Patterns

Merry Patterns, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Blog Hop

You will notice this is a two step stamp set with lots of outlines and patterns.  This gave me so many options to play around with colors to coordinate or mix and match.

Quick Tips

  • When I started stamping with the Merry Pattern stamp set, I grabbed my Stamp-a-ma-jig to help layer the greetings for two step stamping.  This doesn’t have to be done, but it definitely helped to get things perfectly straight.
  • While the fussy cutting was a little intricate, I do love how this looks.  I stamped the deer onto Whisper White cardstock using Soft Sky ink.
  • The bow was created using a thread from the Burlap Ribbon.  I doubled the thread and then tied a bow and secured it with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.

Sharing Sweet Thoughts- Artisan Blog Hop

Sharing Sweet Thoughts

It’s time for another Artisan Blog Hop! Today I’m sharing a card created using the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set.

Not only do I think this is a cute stamp set, it holds a special place in my heart, the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  If you turn your catalog to page 233, you will find this fun stamp set.

Each time a purchase is made of the Sharing Sweet Thoughts stamp set, $3 is donated to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

What’s exciting to note is Stampin’ Up! has donated $1.5 million dollars to the RMHC to date.

Sweet and Simple

Sharing Sweet Thoughts, Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

I kept this card very simple and it made me fall in love with this particular card even more.  I don’t know about you, but I tend to struggle using pattern paper. There is a ton of gorgeous patterns sitting on my paper shelf and I always migrate to using a small piece rather than be bolder.

I love the Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper and this was a perfect color and match for this card using the Powder Pink pattern. I was so excited to be bold and brave using a nice sized piece of pattern paper.

Coordinating Product

Sharing Sweet Thoughts, Stampin' Up! Artisan Blog Hop

Another favorite I have with this set is the coordinating products such as the Everyday Jar Framelits.  In fact, the Everyday Jar Framelits has coordinated with many sets making this die cut well worth every penny.  That’s what I like to call a great bang for your buck.

Tips & Tricks

Here are a few tips when creating this card:

  • I stamped the Jar onto Watercolor Paper using Archival Basic Black ink. Then I watercolored the inside of the jar with Pool Party Ink.  Trick- Once I’ve applied a layer of color to the inside of the jar, I take my Aqua Painter and drop color onto the image.  I use my Heat Tool to move the drops around creating a very fun watercolored look.
  • Next, I colored the Strawberry’s using a mix of Calypso Coral and Flirty Flamingo inks.
  • I stamped the greeting onto Pool Party cardstock and then die cut the image using the Lots of Labels Framelits. I then took a sponge dauber with Pool Party ink and lightly went over the tag to brighten the color a tad bit more.

Colorful Seasons Artisan Hop

Colorful Seasons Artisan Hop

It’s time for another Artisan Blog Hop, and it’s all about the Colorful Seasons stamp set.  YAY! I can’t wait to show you what I created for today’s hop.

Let me add in something really quick because I know a few of you are wondering.  I’m ALIVE.  I know I’ve been absent and for many reasons.  I have some splaining to do and that is coming, soon!

But first… a pretty!

Artisan Hop, Colorful Seasons, Stampin' Up!

Colorful Seasons

I’m not sure you can look at this stamp set and NOT think about all of the beautiful seasons wrapped into ONE set. This bundle rocks my stampin’ world for a few reasons.

  • Fabulous greetings with wonderful fonts!
  • Stamps that coordinate!
  • Layering Framelits that are so beautiful!
  • A beautiful scallop Framelit that makes me happy happy happy!

As I started to create these cards, I chose the colors for each of the seasons first and then ran with the theme.  Each card has a layer of Watercolor Paper and a finely placed color wash for a background.  Nothing is too fancy, yet simple and elegant for each card.

Next, I stamped the “just breathe” onto a layer of coordinating cardstock.  I love how this greeting pops on the card.

Lastly, I layered the coordinating die cuts onto the Watercolor Paper.  You will notice that many of the layered die cuts I dabbled with a little watercolor on them. Note, I used Watercolor Paper for the die cuts as well.  I love the texture of Watercolor Paper.

Now let’s take a peek at each of the cards.  I would love to hear what your favorite is.

Summer

Artisan Hop, Colorful Seasons, Stampin' Up!

I can’t help but start with summer.  It’s blistering hot here in Florida.  Thankfully I live close to a beach.  Sadly, I haven’t seen it enough.  More on that later.

Fall

Artisan Hop, Colorful Seasons, Stampin' Up!

The fall card was so fun as I used the gorgeous Fresh Fig color palette.  I love how vibrant this color looks.

Winter

Artisan Hop, Colorful Seasons, Stampin' Up!

I always enjoy a fun snowflake card.  Living in Florida, it’s the only snowflakes I’m going to see.  I love how this card looks so “icy” using the Bermuda Bay and a mix of Pool Party for the water coloring.

Spring

Artisan Hop, Colorful Seasons, Stampin' Up!

Spring always brings such a fresh look.  The new Berry Burst was the perfect addition to the flowers along with the soft Powder Pink.

What’s Your Favorite?

I would love to hear what your favorite season is and which card you love the most.  I love how we can all love a different season for different reasons.  It’s what makes us all unique, right?

OnStage Display Wrap Up!

OnStage Display Stamping, Stampin' Up!

OnStage Display Wrap Up!

Today I’m sharing the last of the OnStage Displays that I created.  If you have missed them, I hope you will take a minute and scroll through my blog to visit.  Today is the OnStage Display wrap up.

I’ve been a display stamper for many years and I’ve always enjoyed the challenge.  I remember the first time I was sent a new box of products to create with almost 9 years ago.  I always get the jitters on how I’m going to create so many displays with only a few products.  Once I feel the pressure of creating, the challenge is on.

It’s Literally a Wrap!

My projects I’m sharing today literally speak to wrapping it up! This year I didn’t do as many 3D projects as I have in the past.  That part of my mojo department was not clicking I guess.

One project I loved was this sweet little cone.

OnStage Displays, Stampin' Up!

I’ve always loved making these cones because they are super simple and easy to fill with the tasty treat you desire.  I created the cone by simply using a 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper folded into a cone.  I always take the top and fold it over and then add a pretty topper.

When I created the topper for this cone I fell in love with the color combination just as much as the actual products.  The Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Bunch, and Bermuda Bay scream spring/summer.  This combination is so fresh and fun and I can see using it on so many other projects.  My favorite product on this cone is the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.  Isn’t that a beautiful pop of color?

If you are looking to create favors and need something quick and easy, this cone is one I always fall back on.  They are quickly duplicatable and always have a wow appeal.

Tip: To keep the cone sealed I used the Tear Tape Adhesive.  This adhesive is great for keeping boxes and favors sealed.

Quick and Easy Pocket Bag

My last project is another quick and easy favor and can be used to hold a gift card or a candy bar.

OnStage Displays, Stampin' Up!

To create this fun bag, I simply cut down both the edges of the bag and folded the top portion over and attached it using Fast Fuse.  I placed a piece of the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper on the inside and embellished the front.

I reverted back to a few of my favorite thinlits, Sunshine Wishes and the Stitched Shapes Framelits along with the Label Me Pretty stamp set.

Tips & Tricks

OnStage Displays, Stampin' Up!

  • Once I die cut the heart from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits using Watercolor Paper, I watercolored over the heart using Berry Bunch.
  • I die cut a piece of the Bundle of Love DSP using the Stitched Shapes Framelits then attached it to a Delicate White Doily.  I folded the doily over so only 3/4 of the doily was seen on the outside of the pocket.  The Hearts and Stars Elements coordinated perfectly with the other hearts.  Notice that I attached the wooden heart using a stapler.
  • The greeting was stamped using Fresh Fig ink onto Fresh Fig cardstock and punched out using the Sweetheart Punch.  This punch is on sale and retiring.  Click HERE to order this punch before it’s gone.
  • Lastly, I used a sponge dauber to sponge over the tiny wooden heart.  After I finished sponging the heart I placed the tiny heart next to the greeting using a Mini Glue Dot.

A HUGE Thank You!

I want to say a big thank you for taking the time to read and comment on these projects.  Time is precious, and I appreciate you taking the time.  I hope that you have been inspired to create not only from my blog but the amazing Artisans that have shared over the last ten days.

I have many more projects to share now that I’m steadily back in my stamp room.  Plus I have a gazillion ideas in my head that I’m ready to see come to life.  So stick with me, there is much more to come.

If you have followed over the last ten days, which project was your favorite? What product are you most excited about?
