Sealed With Love-Artisan Blog Hop

Sealed With Love

Today marks the first official Artisan Blog Hop for the 2017 Artisan Team.

How appropriate to start off the Artisan year using the Sealed with Love stamp set.

Sending Love Suite

If you are looking to send the sweetest Valentine ever, the Sending Love Suite is the perfect solution.

One of my favorite products in this sweet are the Love Notes Framelits Dies.  Specifically, the arrow dies.

I’ve always been a fan of arrows and they are still very trendy in the crafting and fashion industries.

Sealed With Love, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Design Team

Tips & Tricks

  • Alternate the arrow die cuts along the Kraft cardstock (3-3/4″ x 5-1/4″).  Place the Kraft cardstock onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using dimensionals.
  • Stamp the greeting onto Kraft cardstock using Whisper White Craft Ink.  Let the ink dry or use a heat tool to speed up the drying process.  Die cut the greeting using the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  (These are NOW available! Click HERE to purchase!)

  • Finish off this card by stamping the four heart images and die cut the image. Next, add a piece of twine from the 5/8″ Burlap Twine and the Very Vanilla Lace Trim and staple together.  Add a Mini Paper Clip for another fun embellishment.

Hello Love

I have one more fun card to share.

This time I used a more traditional Valentine color combination.

Sealed With Love, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Design Team

The Sending Love Designer Series Paper has beautiful patterns to choose from and not all are Valentines related.  My favorite pattern was used on this card- Valentine word art.

Another favorite used was the This Christmas Designer Series Paper.  I use the music notes in this paper frequently.  It’s perfect for so many paper crafting projects and especially for a “love note!”

Make sure to check out this post HERE with more Valentines inspiration including a fun box and Valentine card.

Celebrating the New Year- Artisan Hop

Celebrating the New Year

There is so much to celebrate right now.  Tis the season of celebrating!

As the New Year approaches this means its also a time to celebrate the NEW Artisan team that is coming on board.

This will be the last blog post for our current team and it’s been such a fantastic year with this team.

It’s encouraging to me when you bring a team of artists together to share and spread inspiration from all over the world.  Our styles are different yet our purpose is always the same.  Sharing and inspiring you our readers using the best crafting products has been a JOY!

The Inspiration Never Ends

I have two New Years projects to share with you today.  Before I get started, I want to remind you that the inspiration from this team can continue to inspire you.  All of the projects we shared this past year are in one great album on Pinterest HERE.  Make sure to check it out and I’ll keep you posted on the new Pinterest board for this years team once it’s developed.

Now let’s celebrate the New Year with a fun stamp set called It’s a Celebration.

Celebrating, It's a Celebration, Stampin' Up!

This color combination makes me so happy.  I love it to use as a Winter color theme, or for Summer.  The Sweet Sugarplum is one of my favorite colors.  This is actually huge for me.  I’m not much of a girl who loves purple.  This color just has a beautiful hue and looks good with SO many other colors.

Celebrating, It's a Celebration, Stampin' Up!

Tips & Tricks

  • The greeting was embossed using Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder.
  • Create the background using Pool Party, Smoky Slate, Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum inks with the “sparkle” images in the stamp set.
  • Stitched Shapes Framelits were used to die cut the circles and then stacked upon each other slightly off set using dimensionals.

Shake Your Way Into the New Year

Celebrating, It's a Celebration, Stampin' Up!

I’ve had this card idea in my head for a while.

I can’t believe we are getting ready to ring in 2017.  Time is FLYING.

Celebrating, It's a Celebration, Stampin' Up!

Tips & Tricks

  • Line up and die cut the numbers using the Large Numbers Framelits.
  • The “sparkle” images were embossed using both silver and gold embossing powders.
  • Create a small shaker with the number zero using a window sheet and foam strips.  Fill with the Metallics Sequin Assortment.
  • Randomly attach more sequins on the card front.
  • Emboss the greeting using the Silver Stampin’ Emboss powder.

Tin of Tags- Artisan Hop

Tin of Tags

It’s a great day to share the Tin of Tags Kit from Stampin’ Up!

This kit has amazing possibilities outside of the gorgeous tags you can create.

Are you ready?

This incredible kit is not just about Tags. In fact, you will be pleasantly surprised with all that you can do with this little kit.

A Little Housekeeping First

You may have noticed the silence around this blog but don’t worry… I’m back.

Three weeks of amazing fun in the sun, friends and one on one time with my bestie came to a halt this past Saturday.

I needed a day to be mopey, and then with the mopey came a cold.  Ahhhh!  That was not a welcomed gift.

I’m on the mend.  I’m off the couch and coming back to my normal bubbly self.

I’ll be sharing all the great things that happened this week.  SO much to share and tell.  It will be a doozy to post.

Let’s Get Creative!

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

Do you love a good crafting kit? Something that makes crafting a little easier when you are in a bind for time or creativity? I have a solution.

The Tin of Tags Kit is superb and the best part is you can crank out a few amazing cards with it as well.

Inside the Tin of Tags kit you will find lots of great embellishments that you could use on tags, or on a card.  Today I’m sharing ways to use this kit on cards.

The Tin of Tags kit has a coordinating stamp set called…. Tin of Tags.  This is a fantastic stamp set with a gazillion ways to use it on all types of projects.

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

Here is the contents of the Tin of Tags Kit.  It’s pretty nifty.

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

My favorite pieces are the beautiful wooden snowflakes, Washi Tape and sequins.  All the pieces in this kit are delicate and beautiful.

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

Tips & Tricks

  • I created watercolor wash on watercolor paper first.  I heat set the watercoloring with a heat tool and then stamped the snowflakes from the Tin of Tags stamp set.
  • A small strip of Washi Tape was used from the Tin of Tags Kit.
  • The greeting uses the Tin of Tags stamp set then die cut using the Tags & Labels Framelits.
  • I added a small wrapped thread from the 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon.
  • There is a small strip of Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (1″ x 5-1/2″).  This was sponged first using Pink Pirouette Ink and the Sponge Brayer.
  • The music sheet paper comes from the This Christmas Designer Series Paper.  LOVE that paper.

Beautiful Snowflakes

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

I love how this kit is filled with snowflakes.

You will notice on this card I stamped the snowflakes using Smoky Slate ink over the Whisper White, then added the silver snowflake doily under the greeting.

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

If you look closely, I used the Fancy Frost Designer Series Paper again on the right side, which is also filled with snowflakes. Sure love how this card came together.

Tin of Tags, Stampin' Up!, Artisan Hop

Seen above,  the silver metallic twine from the Tin of Tags kit is wrapped around the card several times and secured on the back side of the Whisper White cardstock.

Lastly,  a few sequins and Real Red ink splattered across the top of the card.

Wrapping it Up!

Stampin’ Up! kits are a great product for anyone who has no time or needs a little assistance with creativity.  The kits provide all the products to create the project along with directions.  If you are someone who lacks time during the holiday season, this kit is one to think about.

Stampin’ Up! Artisan Hop-Basket of Wishes

Basket of Wishes

Welcome to another Artisan Blog Hop.

Get ready for loads of sharing and one of the stamp sets on tap is the Basket of Wishes.

Basket of Wishes, Stampin' Up!

Calling All Watercoloring Enthusiasts

If you love to watercolor, Basket of Wishes stamp set will be one to have.

Basket of Wishes, Stampin' Up!Basket of Wishes, Stampin' Up!

Look at the 4 gorgeous images that fit into the baskets.  My favorite is the succulents.

Basket of Wishes, Stampin' Up!

They worked perfect for placing in the big basket.

Tips & Tricks

  • Stamp the basket and succulents onto Watercolor Paper, then die cut using the Tags & Labels Framelits.
  • Use the Layering Squares Framelits to create frames.  This fun scallop frame was the perfect addition using the Copper Foil Sheets.
  • Stamp and emboss the greeting using Copper Embossing Powder, then separate the greeting and add to card.

Basket of Wishes, Stampin' Up!

Add a small strip of a scallop border under the designer paper (Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper) to bring out more of the copper.

Watercolor the  succulents using the following inks:

  • Cucumber Crush
  • Pool Party
  • Mint Macaron

Another Take On Basket of Wishes

While strawberry’s may be more of a springtime fruit, it goes to show you how versatile the Basket of Wishes stamp set is.

Think about this set as a year round stamp set that can be used anytime and perfect for birthday celebrations.

Basket of Wishes, Stampin' Up!

Tips & Tricks

  • A perfect embellishment for this stamp set is the 5/8″ Burlap ribbon.
  • Stamp the baskets and strawberry’s on Watercolor Paper die cut using the Lots of Labels Framelits.
  • Create a mask using a post it note to set the strawberry’s perfectly into the basket with no line showing.  Color the strawberry’s using Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush ink with a hint of Emerald Envy ink to highlight the leaves.
  • Add a few of the White Perfect Accents for an added embellishment.

Forgive Me, I Can’t Stop! Jar of Haunts

Jar of Haunts

Forgive me because I can’t stop.  The Jar of Haunts has been one of my favorite Halloween stamp sets!

I put the stamp set on the shelf.  I told myself it was time to move on.

What happened?

Well, it was time for an Artisan blog hop and I couldn’t help to pull out this cute stamp set.

Cute Always Gets Me!

The fact is, if something is cute I’m going to love it.

Jar of Haunts cute factor sold me right away.

xJar of Haunts, Stampin' Up!

Now if you add in the Pool Party to this entire Halloween mix… I have now hit the edge of Halloween glory.

Jar of Haunts, Stampin' Up!

Jar of Haunts, Stampin' Up!

Tips & Tricks

  • Start coloring of the jars with a blender pen.  When blending color on Whisper White with a Blender Pen, be careful not to blend the pen in one area for too long.  This will create what I love to call “paper boogers!” The paper will begin to peel.
  • To create  brighter color after using a blender pen, try taking a Sponge Dauber and sponge lightly over images.
  • The Everyday Jar Framelits coordinates perfectly with the Jar of Haunts stamp set.

Nothing Haunted Here!

Jar of Haunts, Stampin' Up!

There was nothing haunted about this next card.  The pumpkins were stamped onto Watercolor Paper, then watercolored using an Aqua Painter.

Jar of Haunts, Stampin' Up!

The pumpkins were masked to give the illusion of the pumpkins stacked to gather.

Tips & Tricks

  • To achieve the look of the pumpkins stacked together, stamp a pumpkin onto a post in note.  Cut around the image as close as possible.
  • Stamp one pumpkin onto Watercolor Paper.  When stamping the next pumpkin, apply mask over first pumpkin.  Now stamp the pumpkin next to the first one.  Do you see how the pumpkin you just stamped looks like its behind the other?
  • Watercolor the pumpkins using Pumpkin Pie ink first.  Then watercolor using Tangerine Tango around the edges to darken the color.
  • Watercolor the sky using Soft Sky ink.

Jar of Haunts, Stampin' Up!

There is Still Time!

There is still time to create plenty of Halloween and fall projects.

Whether it’s mummies, ghosts, witches or pumpkins, Stampin’ Up! has a variety of fun halloween sets to choose from.
