OnStage Display Stamping, Stampin' Up!

OnStage Display Wrap Up!

Today I’m sharing the last of the OnStage Displays that I created.  If you have missed them, I hope you will take a minute and scroll through my blog to visit.  Today is the OnStage Display wrap up.

I’ve been a display stamper for many years and I’ve always enjoyed the challenge.  I remember the first time I was sent a new box of products to create with almost 9 years ago.  I always get the jitters on how I’m going to create so many displays with only a few products.  Once I feel the pressure of creating, the challenge is on.

It’s Literally a Wrap!

My projects I’m sharing today literally speak to wrapping it up! This year I didn’t do as many 3D projects as I have in the past.  That part of my mojo department was not clicking I guess.

One project I loved was this sweet little cone.

OnStage Displays, Stampin' Up!

I’ve always loved making these cones because they are super simple and easy to fill with the tasty treat you desire.  I created the cone by simply using a 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper folded into a cone.  I always take the top and fold it over and then add a pretty topper.

When I created the topper for this cone I fell in love with the color combination just as much as the actual products.  The Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Bunch, and Bermuda Bay scream spring/summer.  This combination is so fresh and fun and I can see using it on so many other projects.  My favorite product on this cone is the Lemon Lime Twist ribbon.  Isn’t that a beautiful pop of color?

If you are looking to create favors and need something quick and easy, this cone is one I always fall back on.  They are quickly duplicatable and always have a wow appeal.

Tip: To keep the cone sealed I used the Tear Tape Adhesive.  This adhesive is great for keeping boxes and favors sealed.

Quick and Easy Pocket Bag

My last project is another quick and easy favor and can be used to hold a gift card or a candy bar.

OnStage Displays, Stampin' Up!

To create this fun bag, I simply cut down both the edges of the bag and folded the top portion over and attached it using Fast Fuse.  I placed a piece of the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper on the inside and embellished the front.

I reverted back to a few of my favorite thinlits, Sunshine Wishes and the Stitched Shapes Framelits along with the Label Me Pretty stamp set.

Tips & Tricks

OnStage Displays, Stampin' Up!

  • Once I die cut the heart from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits using Watercolor Paper, I watercolored over the heart using Berry Bunch.
  • I die cut a piece of the Bundle of Love DSP using the Stitched Shapes Framelits then attached it to a Delicate White Doily.  I folded the doily over so only 3/4 of the doily was seen on the outside of the pocket.  The Hearts and Stars Elements coordinated perfectly with the other hearts.  Notice that I attached the wooden heart using a stapler.
  • The greeting was stamped using Fresh Fig ink onto Fresh Fig cardstock and punched out using the Sweetheart Punch.  This punch is on sale and retiring.  Click HERE to order this punch before it’s gone.
  • Lastly, I used a sponge dauber to sponge over the tiny wooden heart.  After I finished sponging the heart I placed the tiny heart next to the greeting using a Mini Glue Dot.

Love Everywhere-Spread Kindness

Love Everywhere-Spread Kindness

Every year around this time frame as I share Valentines love I can’t help but think of our ability to share love and kindness all through the year.

It reminds me of why I’m a paper crafter.  Love is everywhere and as paper crafters, we can spread kindness ALL year long.

Isn’t that exciting?

Today I have a fantastic project that is perfect to spread love and kindness.  Even better, a blog hop with my Creation Station friends to share more love.  Love is everywhere.

Perfect Chocolate Box

I was browsing Pinterest trying to get some inspiration for a “love” project.  I love to create treat boxes for valentines so that was on my list to hunt.  The box was originally created by a UK demonstrator named Ann Melvin.

Then I created a fun card to go with the boxes.  Chocolate and a card… YES!

Let’s Create!

Spread Kindness, Valentines, Stampin' Up!

This box is super easy to create.  Below you will find a simple template that’s easy to follow and grab the following supplies!

  • Early Espresso cardstock 10″ x 7-1/2″.
  • Designer Series Paper 1″ x 9-1/2
  • Embellishments of your choice.
  • You will see a complete list of what I used for this project in my tips & tricks and at the bottom of the post in clickable links.

Spread Kindness, Valentines, Stampin' Up!

This box opens up so you can place a few chocolates inside or even a few love notes.

Spread Kindness, Valentines, Stampin' Up!

Tips & Tricks

Here is a simple template you can follow to create the box.

Spread Kindness, Valentines, Stampin' Up!

  • The scribbled black lines are areas you will CUT out.
  • Make sure you score each fold very well.  This makes a box nice and crisp.
  • I added an extra score line on the lid so that the lid would tuck into the box.  You can see this in red on the template.
  • Stamp hearts on the box front using the Sealed with Love stamp set and Early Espresso ink.
  • The belly band was created using the Succulent Garden Designer Series Paper.

Spread Kindness, Valentines, Stampin' Up!

  • Die cut the heart using the Sweet & Sassy Framelits using Watermelon Wonder cardstock.  Then Texture emboss the heart die cut using the Falling Petals Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
  • The Lace Doilies in the Occasions catalog on page 51 are delicate and perfect for any project.  I simply added underneath the belly band.
  • Lastly, die cut the word Love using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and add to the heart using a few Mini Glue Dots.

Spread Kindness in the Mail

Spread Kindness, Valentines, Stampin' Up!

I couldn’t help but create a card using the same theme as the box.  Let us not forget that sending love in the mail is the BEST.  We need to send more of it.

Be Inspired

One last thing before I go, I was so inspired by the holiday season because of random acts of kindness.  Not once, but TWICE I was in the Starbucks drive thru and my drink order was paid for by the person in front of me.  Honestly, it blew me away.  It’s only happened once before in my life.  This inspired me to keep the random act of kindness continuing.  It feels SO good.

While the holidays may be over, let’s continue to spread the love and continue to spread kindness.  Think big and the entire YEAR, not just Valentines.

Now be inspired by the other great designers from the Creation Station Team.

Simply click the buttons below and hop along and see more LOVE spread.

Here’s a Quick Way to Create For a Fiesta!

Create For a Fiesta

It’s true that Cinco de Mayo festivities have passed, but it’s not the only day we can have a FIESTA!

In fact, I love a good party so I don’t really need an excuse to have one.  There is always one thing that can get me to make up a party and thats beautiful paper.

Every year when I open the new Stampin’ Up! catalog I look at the designer paper and dream about the parties I can have and the ideas of creativity flow depending on the paper that I’m looking at.

I should also add that sometimes the fiesta’s I dream about don’t come to life, but in my head and with paper they do.

Instant Party in My Brain

One look at the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper and I was hooked.  Instant fiesta planning went into hyperdrive and I wanted to throw a big ole’ FIESTA.

Fiesta, Stampin' Up!

Make no mistake the party favors I was thinking about were off the charts.

I had to calm myself and speak reality to my big ears- Quick and Simple Kimberly.

Today I have a fun party favor idea for your own Fiesta, and of course you will want to thank your guests for coming to the BIG fiesta.  I have a quick thank you note to share too.

The inside of the Fiesta favor features Stampin’ Up!’s Gusseted Cellophane Bags filled with festive candies I found at a local candy shop.  The candy’s are just as bright and fun as the outside of the party favor.

Don’t Forget a Thank You!

I kept my thank you very simple using the Birthday Fiesta Photopolymer Bundle from Stampin’ Up!

Morning Stamping Escapade

Morning Stamping Escapade

Morning stamping is unheard of in my home,  let alone 7:30 in the morning.

Yesterday morning my oldest, Brandon woke me up and managed to get me out of bed way earlier than planned.  Since I had gone to bed late the night before I was trying to squeeze in a few more hours before waking.

Brandon had different plans, which in a sense screwed up the entire routine.

No biggie really.  It happens.

I started my morning rituals which always starts with the brewing of coffee.  Now I should tell you I’m pretty chipper in the morning.  I prefer to have at least one cup of coffee down before any conversation but I’m typically cheerful regardless.  Brandon and I are the only ones in my house that react this way to mornings.  The others…. not so much.  One in particular is grouchy pants.  UGH.

Anyways…

I grabbed my coffee and was browsing fakebook when all of a sudden I saw a video posted by Stampin’ Up! using my favorite kit, You’re So Lovely.

I opened the video and watched it and was completely blown away with the cuteness of projects.  Oh my GOSH.

Not even an entire cup of coffee was down and I had an INSTANT urge to create what I had just watched.  Gosh, I don’t do anything in an instant anymore and NEVER at 7:30 in the morning!

When Alexis woke up to find me in my stamp room she immediately asked if i was okay.  Obviously this was not a typical morning and my first thought was she probably thinks I never went to bed.  Ha ha ha.

Morning Stamping Isn’t So Bad!

Morning, You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!

You’ve heard this before how much I love Stampin’ Up! kits and the You’re So Lovely is my FAVORITE!

One of the amazing concept artists put together the video below (end of the post) and this treat bag was my favorite.

I instantly created it and Alexis said….  “Can I have it?”

She said she wanted to give this treat bag  to one of her friends.

How could I possibly resist and out the door she went with this little gem.

Morning, You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!

Everything you see on the bag was included with the kit except the Rhinestone I added on the butterfly.

What makes this little treat bag even better?

Mid afternoon I received a text from Alexis. “Mom, can you make 12 more of those treat bags? All my friends need one!”

My girl had just made me day. The best part- they were made with no holiday in mind. I was just carried away by all the cuteness and I had to create it.

Morning, You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!

You can see in the photo above I decided to get busy and create a whole bunch for Alexis and her friends.  It was so easy.

I decided to create a card using the kit too.  A few extra things were added to create this card- Calypso Coral cardstock and a Tea Lace Doily, Jute Ribbon, and Basic Black ink.

Morning, You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!

Alexis will be bringing 10 treat bags to school today for friends and I will carry a smile all day long.

I’m sure my morning stamping experience was a complete fluke, however I will be making more goodies using the Oh So Lovely kit.  If you don’t have one, I would highly encourage it.  The accessories in this kit are awesome.  Whether you are a beginner or advanced crafter, this kit is for you.

Check out this video with more fun ideas using this kit.  You will see the instructions to create this goodie bag above too.

April Hostess Code, Stampin' Up!

Morning, You're So Lovely, Stampin' Up!

Have an AWESOME day!! XOXOXO

Hot Chocolate, Anyone?

Hot Chocolate, Anyone?

It’s time for another Artisan Blog Hop and I’m going to pretend that we are all having hot chocolate or coffee together as you hop along this inspirational hop of creativity.

If you’ve been with me for awhile you know I have a love affair for coffee and my favorite place to have coffee is Starbucks.

It’s probably no surprise that when I opened the new Occasions Catalog I found a few stamp sets that go along with my coffee obsession.

I’m excited to share how I’ve incorporated 3 new stamp sets and a framelit to create these fun projects.

Come, Let Us Sit Together

First, can I tell you how awesome this greeting is- “Come, let us sit together…”? I can think of numerous projects with this ONE greeting from the Balloon Celebration stamp set.

Hot Chocolate, Balloon Celebration Stamp set, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Create it!

I thought it would be fun to create a card and a little pocket for a hot chocolate or instant coffee pack.

To create this card I used the Cup & Kettle Framelits Dies to die cut the coffee cup.  The coffee cup was die cut twice and layered onto each other to make the die cut a tad thicker.

The coffee cup  was stamped with the Sunburst Sayings stamp set using the tiny dots.  I sponged around the coffee cup just a bit to give it a little more definition.

To create my “foam” or “whip cream” I used the cloud image from the Balloon Celebration stamp set stamped with Sahara Sand ink.  I fussy cut each of the clouds and then sponged very lightly around each of them.  I layered the images onto the front and back of the coffee cup to also add a bit more definition using a dimensional.  Another fun step for the whip cream was adding a little bit of shimmer using the Clear Wink of Stella pen.

Hot Chocolate, Balloon Celebration Stamp set, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

A small detail was adding the antiqued silver spoon from the Have a Cuppa Embellishments.  OH MY WORD! Ca-utness x 100.

Hot Chocolate, Balloon Celebration Stamp set, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Another fun but small detail is adding the “coffee stain” onto the Crumb Cake Circle punch.  This was created using the Timeless Textures stamp set.  <MUST HAVE!>

You might notice this doily is smaller from the normal doilies I use.  This doily comes from the Tag a Bag Accessory Kit.  They are so CUTE and fit the 2-1/2″ Circle punch perfectly in the center.

Hot Chocolate, Balloon Celebration Stamp set, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I thought it would be fun to have a little pocket for a hot chocolate pack or instant coffee.  This was easily created using the Gift Card Envelope and Trims Thinlits.  PERFECTION.

Create it!

To create this cute little pocket, simply die cut using the Gift Card Framelit.  Assemble the gift card as normal except take the top flap and adhere to the back using a dimensional as seen below.

Hot Chocolate, Balloon Celebration Stamp set, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

For the front, cut another piece of cardstock the same color as you die cut to measure 2-3/4 x 4.  Attach to the front of the gift card using Tear Tape.  This will create your pocket.

I kept the front rather simple but the same theme as the card to coordinate.

Hot Chocolate, Balloon Celebration Stamp set, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

Will You Join Me?

Yes, we may be miles and miles away but today we can pretend that we had a cup of Hot Chocolate together or coffee.  From the looks of the weather a nice cuppa hot would keep us all warm.

As always, I’m tickled that so many of these new stamps and framelits coordinate so great together making creating effortless.

Time to Hop!

It’s time to grab a cuppa something and hop to see what the other Artisans have created.  Keep in mind there are 20+ creative projects to be seen from all over the WORLD.  Because this is a global hop, I highly recommend using Google Translate to read some the Artisans blogs from other countries.  You might need it to read my southern lingo.  HA HA HA.

Next on the hop is one of my favorite Canadians Krista Frattin.  She is someone I would LOVE LOVE to sit and have a cuppa joe with.  Let’s see what she created…
