My Digital Studio Challenge-SO Cool!

Time for another My Digital Studio challenge and this week is SO exciting.  We are doing "anything but a layout" this week.

This is a CHALLENGE for me!  I use My Digital Studio 95% for Digital Scrapbooking. I've played around a *little* with a few hybrid pieces but it's never been a big on my radar.

Things have changed!

I thought I had a huge love affair with MDS already.  NOW I'm completely smitten when I add MDS & an E-Cutter!

Bare with me.  I know I've been showing a few things over the last few days with the e-cutter but the truth is I'm in *LOVE*!

Check this out… I thought it couldn't get any better….

I was DEAD wrong.  It just keeps getting SWEETER!

I took the Chevron Punch and exported the SVG.  I then imported it into my e-cutter.  I placed the entire 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White Cardstock onto my e-cutter and then the cutting magic began and the chevrons were cut on the base of my card.

Below is the INSIDE of my card.  I loved how the International Bazaar Designer Paper shows through the Chevrons.

This picture gives you a closer look at the Chevron Cut.  Just *PERFECT*!!!

Here is the Skinny-

I know many have questions regarding E-Cutters!  I personally did a lot of research over the holidays.  Do your research and see what will suit YOU best.

Make sure that the E-Cutter you are eye balling can IMPORT ANY SVG files.  That is *the* most important thing to find out.

Now… It's time for YOU to take on the challenge.

Make ANYTHING but a layout.  Pop on over the Heather's website to see what she has created.  She is a genius in the hybrid department with My Digital Studio.

Make sure to watch her video today as well.  She is going over the latest MDS Software Update.

Join our MDS Challenge Facebook Group and share your creative process with us.  This challenge board is filled with amazing talent.  Each week we learn new things, share ideas and most of all encourage each other along our digital journey.  Whether you are brand new to MDS or Advanced, this group has something to offer everyone.

  1. Hi! I have a Silhouette Portrait w/ the designer software.  I exported the svg, but I am having trouble getting it to appear and cut.  Did you watch a tutorial on this?  I am a fellow demo and would love to use my e-cutter with MDS, but I am a bit frustrated;)  Let me know of any tips you have:)  Thanks!

  2. Hi my dear. I’m not sure on the difference with the portrait vs the cameo. I import the SVG into my Silhouette library. I’ll do a video on it. It will be much easier. I’ll send you an email with the link once I get it complete. Give me just a bit. It does take a little time to figure it out but once you do it’s awesome. 🙂
