Going Global-Stampin’ Up!

Going Global-Stampin’ Up!

Holy Moly! Today the UPS man dropped an awesome package on my doorstep and I couldn’t wait to tear into the box.  It was filled with Stampin’ Up! products that are being released in January.  This is one of the greatest perks of being a demonstrator- getting my hands on things first.

The reality is I have FOMO disease- Fear of Missing Out!

It’s the truth.  This little disease plays a roll in so many things I do. Even when I was a school girl I had this disease.  I would rarely miss a day of school for fear of missing out on something great happening.  Years and years later I’m still in deep with this same issue.

The first stamp set I wanted to play with from the new Occasions Catalog was the Going Global stamp set.  I was able to stamp with the Going Global stamp set at the recent OnStage event.  This set had more meaning to me after the recent attacks in Paris.  I can’t imagine the depth of fear the people in Paris had at that time.  It also made me think of our demonstrators in that area.  Stampin’ Up! is a global company and during these attacks our demonstrators in Europe were gathered for their OnStage event.  What a scary time for everyone.

The Inspiration

Tonight when I started to stamp with this stamp set my first thought was, “Love makes the world go around!” While you and I see so much hate around the world, we know there is good and we know there is love.  This was my inspiration for this card.

I also added another fun set to this card that is also new called Timeless Textures.  You are going to LOVE this stamp set.  This stamp set will give Gorgeous Grunge a run for it’s money.  Beautiful textures that you could use on ANY card.  Go ahead and add that to your wish list.  You are going to fall in love.

See the grid looking image across the Kraft cardstock above? That image is from the Timeless Textures.  It’s just enough texture to make me grin from ear to ear.

Tips & Tricks-

I wanted to stick with neutrals for the most part with this card so I used Soft Sky, Whisper White and Kraft cardstock.  I added a little bit more color by using Soft Suede Ink on the Kraft cardstock.

I spritzed the doily with water and Mint Macaron re-inker.  I added little more spritz using an Aqua Painter and Delightful Dijon re-inker.  This was done VERY sparingly.  Once this was dry I stamped on the doily using the grid texture stamp from Timeless Textures using Soft Suede Ink.

Another little helper- the sequins I used come from the Hello December Project Life Kit.  I love these sequins. They are bigger than our catalog sequins and have a cutely design on them.

Teaser- do you see the texture embossing… it’s a beauty.

Going Global

I would definitely consider this set on  your wish list for the upcoming catalog.  It’s going to be a set that many will fall in love with.

I realize none of these sets can be purchased right now, but you can still get your hands on them.  All demonstrators will have the opportunity to pre-order stamp sets and other products from this new catalog starting December 3rd.  It’s a great time to become a demonstrator and get your hands on this new catalogs products AND the Sale-a-Bration products too.  You have no obligation to do anything else.  You get to pick all of your products in your starter kit.  Truly a win win.  Click HERE to see more information on starting your journey with Stampin’ Up!  and become a part of one of the best stamping communities around.

Before I Go-

I wanted to share a Fall card with you today.  This card uses the Vintage Leaves stamp set on page 88 in the catalog.

Vintage Leaves stamp set, Stampin' Up!

I used a sponge dauber on the leaves with Pool Party, Delightful Dijon, Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze inks.  Once I sponged all over the leaves with the three colors I stamped them on Whisper White cardstock and die cut them using the Leaflets Framelits.  Next I dipped the leaves into my VersaMark pad and then added a little Gold Embossing Powder.  Heat them up and you will never get the same look twice.  Such a fun technique and beautiful result.

Tips & Tricks-

You can see a small circle burlap piece beneath the button.  I die cut the burlap ribbon using one of my circles framelits.  I loved how rustic this makes the card look.  Just that small element.
