My favorite…today!

Have you ever made something and been so excited about it you wanted to show everyone?  Today, I want to show you one of my projects I am super excited about.  I had a big stamp camp today and this was just ONE project they made.  We made a total of 3 and they were super busy stampers today and they did an awesome job!  I had two brand new stampers today and while I challenged them, they were SPECTACULAR!  I was so excited for them.  Let me share.

This is a paper bag album made with the Glassine Bags.  I wrapped a piece of the Sweet Pea DSP around the bottom edge of 4 Glassine bags and then sewed a straight stitch along the edge so all the bags would stay together.  After that it was a free for all with embellishing.  Using the Friendly Words jumbo wheel, I wheeled the front cover and then added cardstock pieces on the inside of each Glassine Bag to give it more stability.  The ends are embellished with lots of punches.  I love using my punches and accessories to add wow to a project.  Of course there are lots of fun buttons, too.

Today, this is my favorite project.  I will use this paper bag album to put pictures of my kids.  I can pop the pictures in the Glassine Bag pockets and journal on the cardstock.   I hope this inspires you to pull out your Glassine Bags and make something unique with them.  They are such a great product.

Have a wonderful week!

Double Wham Day!

I've spent most of the day in my office prepping for lots of clubs/workshops/classes today.  That means I've been cutting paper! LOL!  I have two projects to share today.  One was a scrapbook layout we did late last week.  The other is a card I just made tonight.  The scrapbook layout has tons of fun products on it.  Let me show you!

I don't have pictures on the layout yet because I am going to put pictures with the upcoming Valentines Day.  Actually, I am hoping that Russ has something cool up his sleeve for Valentines Day and then I can put it on this layout.  ROFL!  That really makes me laugh!  It will probably be me planning that little gig.  Anyways, I have tons of products on this layout.  I am going to list them below so you can see ALL the fun things here.

Supplies:

Stamps: Whimsical Words (SAB), Extra Postage (Mini), Things I Love

Inks: Whisper White Craft Ink, Chocolate Chip

Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Pretty in Pink,

Accessories: Sending Love Specialty Paper, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch. 3/4" circle punch, Hearts & Brackets Die Cut, Stampin' Up! Alphabet Simple, Modern Label Punch, Sherbert Buttons, Small Heart Punch, Chocolate Chip 5/8" Satin Ribbon, Large Glassine Envelope, 1 1/4 Square Punch, Scallop Square Punch, Dimenisonals, Linen Thread

I loved using the Glassine envelope on the layout because it gives me a chance to journal the things I love and there is another piece of cardstock for HIM to write what HE loves.  It's a fun layout.  I love the Hearts & Brackets Die Cut.  Great die cut to have right now with Valentines around the corner.

This next project was a quick card I made tonight.  I've had this idea in my head since I took a shower this morning.  You know, "shower inspiration".  We all get it!

This is another card for Russ.  It does have special meaning.  It's filled with "Grandma" buttons.

It's a fairly simple card.  I cut a piece of chipboard and Real Red cardstock and die cut both of them using my Hearts & Brackets die cut.  For the base of the card I used Naturals Ivory cardstock.  yummo.  It's one of my fav cardstocks to use.  I layered it with another piece of Naturals Ivory but this time I ran it through my Big Shot using the Polka Dot embossing folder.  I attached the Chipboard heart using dimensionals and then I started adding those buttons.  The last tiny element on the card was just adding the tiny tag with "LOVE" stamped from the Tiny Tags stamp set.  I tied it on with a little Linen Thread.  It's not a secret that I love buttons.  This card for Russ will add just a little more "love" since they are mostly "Grandma's" buttons.

Hope your week is going FANTASTIC!  Stamp something pretty today.

Time to Scrap a Page!

Good evening!  I hope your Christmas was super amazing!  Our family enjoyed a great Christmas just being together.  The kids loved all their gifts and the food was awesome.  Way too many desserts around.  I just grazed all day long.

Anyhoo, I want to share a layout we did at my last Scrap Club.

This layout has sooooooo many elements to it. Lots of die cuts, embellishments and just a little bit of stamping.  I used the Sizzix Die Cut Circles #2, Table Setting Die Cut, and my favorite Alphabet Die Cut set.  I love adding the buttons and the pearls.  Just lots of fun treasures on the page.  Hope you like it as well.

I'm off to watch a movie.  Yippie!

Super happy Pumpkins!

I went to the pumpkin patch today!  Okay, big fat lie.  You couldn’t find a pumpkin here if you wanted to because of all the SNOW!  However, I have the cute Pumpkin Patch stamp set (116499) that I just love and I played with it for some time.  This set is in the Holiday Mini catalog and my daughter had played with it more than I had.  I had to play! I have four different designs to show you.  Hang on to your pants!

Each of the cards have a similar layout with just a few changes to them.  All the pumpkins were stamped using Craft ink.  I used More Mustard, Pumpkin, Old Olive Chocolate Chip and Really Rust. All the pumpkins were stamped onto Kraft cardstock.  Truly a Kimberly favorite.   Each of the cards were stamped on the bottom using the Jumbo Wheel Bright Blessings (115626) using Really Rust ink on Really Rust cardstock.  I used a few buttons and different sentiments from Grateful Greetings stamp set.  I also used my favorite tool -the Color Spritzer Tool.  Such a fun tool.

I loved making these cards.

I have a NEW Stamps/Scraps in the Mail program starting in November.  You can check out all the details along the top of my blog or click the links below.  These are my two favorite programs.  This is the 10th Round of Stamps in the Mail.  VERY exciting!!!!  Lots of surprises and bonus projects during this round.

Time for me to turn up the heat.  I am seriously FREEZING!  Have you seen all the snow that Colorado has?  I know my Denver friends have much more white stuff than we got.  Sorry ladies.  Have a GREAT Friday.  I have to get the halloweenie costumers ready for our Trick or Treat fun!  Can’t wait.

It’s so simple!

Stampin’ Up! has told us for months that the new My Digital Studio would be super easy to use and they are so right.  I won’t lie when I tell you I’ve been a little worried about Digital Scrapbooking because I am a complete dummy when it comes to computers.  However, tihs program is so easy to use.  This program is addicting!!!!  I played for about 5 minutes and whipped this page up.  Seriously… 5 minutes!!!

Of course  the first digi cardstock I had to play with was KRAFT and the stamp set had to be Friends 24-7.  I had to stick with a few favorites. I can’t wait to play more  with this program.  I’m looking forward to taking this program and making some hybrid pages.  The My Digital Scrapbooking will be available to our customers on Oct 1st.  You won’t believe the whole thing.  It really is amazing.

I’ll be back in a bit.  I have a  few cards I want to share today as well.
