Ahhh… Sweet December!
Can you believe it? Sweet December! 25 days until Jolly St. Nick visits! Holiday preps in place!
Hopefully I didn't stress YOU out!
December is an exciting month for me! Why you ask?
First, I *LOVE* Christmas!
Second, it's been 6 years since I started this blog. 6 YEARS!!!
The other day I took a LONG trip down memory lane. I was totally sucked into reading what I've been up too. 6 years ago I was on the great adventure of moving from Florida to Colorado and needed a *place* to share with all my Florida friends. Wow! At the time I had NO idea I would be sharing WORLD WIDE! Remember, I am a blonde. When I started the blog I didn't have a clue of what I was beginning. Honestly, there are days I still feel that. Regardless, as I took my little memory trip I was drawn to many exciting things. It all started on December 5th, 2006!
It's amazing to see how much my kids have grown over the years, so many stories shared, SO many projects from Stampin' Up! created. On my journey of reading through I also stopped back to read the comments. I am one grateful lady.
To my readers, THANK YOU! You put up with my ramblings, listen to my silliness and always give me amazing feedback. I can't thank you enough. Well I can… just make sure you check back on December 5th! *snicker*
Of course, over the last 6 years technology has changed so much and now you can follow me just about anywhere besides my little bloggy.
I have a love affair with technology. I love social networking because I feel a special connection with YOU. I also love to share. Always have, always will. This is exactly WHY I love Stampin' Up! so much. They have given me the vehicle to share what I love- crafting!
Just where can you follow me these days?
CRAZY! Right?? Seriously, it's all about having fun and that's EXACTLY what I do! LOTS of it.
I share different things on different sites. Whatever my mood may be.
<wink>
So, if you are in the mood click the button and follow along. I plan to make this December full of surprises. <wink, wink>
Speaking of sharing…. if you made it this far and didn't fall asleep on me I do have something kinda pretty I wanted to share.
Do you like to add a little stitching to your paper crafting designs? I own a little Janome Sew Mini that sits on my desk. It's tiny and perfect to sew little notions on a card or paper crafting project.
I put the Sew Mini to use with this card above. WIth just a little bit of Stampin' Up's gorgeous Scalloped Tulle I was able to pleat two colors of Tulle together for a fun look.
I added the Poinsettia image from the Watercolor Winter stamp set for a "Winter Look!" I used three images piled onto each other and gave them a little crinkle in my hand. To keep them together I hand sewed a little button with Linen Thread right into the center.
So grab a little thread, sewing machine and beautiful tulle and get started.
Create something with a little thread today.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: Watercolor Winter, Lovely Little Labels
Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla

Digital designers, now is a great time to start working on a Christmas Daily digital book. You may be asking what in the world am I talking about?????
Scrapbookers for years have been capturing their December/Christmas/Holiday memories in one quick album. It's a daily journal of you and your families journey through the holiday's. Capturing details that you may not remember years from now. I'm excited about taking this project on this year. I want to capture exactly what we do, even if it's something simple and little. Even with the chaos (and yes I know I'm adding more) I want to capture it. I've documented quite a few Christmas layouts through the years but how fun will it be next year this time to look back on ONE entire album. The kids will be able to see the traditions our family has created and years (when I'm dead and gone) from now the kids can look back on this book and share with their kids.
My challenge & goal is to bring the inspiration to you as I share my December Daily digital layouts DAILY. Anyone want to join me? You can see all the products I used for this layout above HERE. I used quite a few elements and kits on this layout and then recolored many of them such as the Wonderfall DSP (Chevron pattern) to create an earthy tone to the layout.
Here are a few digital products I recommend to help with your December Daily Album:

Stampin’ Up! Watercolor Winter Card
Happy Small Business Saturday! It's a good day to check out your local Small Businesses and shop till you drop. I have a little Saturday inspiration to get your MoJo working. The Watercolor Winter stamp set was the set I chose to work with for my Stamps in the Mail this month and the ideas are continue to roll in. This is another bonus card for my participants. As you know, I love a stamp set that I can see endless possibilities with. It makes my Prince happy too when I can rock the projects with just one set. This is why I stay so busy… I have a lot of sets that I need to rock the projects with. YIKES. Don't tell the Prince.
I started this card with Crumb Cake Cardstock and textured embossed half of the cardfront with the Chevron Textured Embossing Folder. OH MY WORD it's my favorite. In fact, Chevrons are SUPER trendy and I'm trying not to put them on every project I'm making. I love, love, love them. I took a small strip of the Candlelight Christmas DSP and did a quick zig zag stitch across the paper for a little pizzaz. A little Vellum, DSP Banners and trimmed Poinsettia's made the focal point for this card. If you look very closely, I added a few French Knots to the center of the Poinsettia's using Whisper White Bakers Twine. I gently brushed them with a Daffodil Delight marker to give them a little color.
Isn't this a beautiful stamp set? You can see all the products I used below and you can find all these great products in my Online Store.

Hootie Hoo- It’s MDS Blog Hop Friday!
I'm super excited about today's blog hop. This week's theme is OWL's or birdies. It was hard to choose between the two but I needed to kill two birds with one stone Bwhahahhaha. I crack myself up. Let me explain. I wanted to make my Girl Scouts a little treat for our meeting on Monday. I have 24 girls so I obviously I need something fast. I have flipped flopped on my ideas for over a week. There are so many great ones. Then I had a bright idea. HYBRID! I do NOT use this option like I should. I think I've lost my marbles because it was EASY PEASY! Let me show you!
My tag on this little treat bag is all made with MDS. I made this to fit my 2 1/2" Circle punch and then placed 10 of these on a 8.5 x 11 Sheet of Whisper White cardstock. Then it was just a matter of punching the image out, placing it on a Scallop Die Cut and placing it on my Treat bag. DONE! I used the Treat Bags in the Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kits and filled them with Chocolates. The bag was then closed using a Perfect Plum Top Note Die Cut and a small piece of the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP. To make the Digital image pop just a little more I spritzed the image with Basic Black ink with my Spritzer Tool and added the Googlies. Fast, and fun!
Because this project was so simple I thought of other ways to use this same basic design but on two other projects:
This project was made using the small cello bags. We do not carry these anymore but I had a plenty on hand. I covered the chocolate using the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP and placed a piece of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock inside the bag to make it stand out a little more.
One more… This time I used the larger Cello bags that you can purchase now. I did the exact same as above but used a larger chocolate.
As you can see the possibilities are endless. One quick little tag, so many things you can do! I've created a FREE Printable for you today so you can make these fun treats yourself.
