Halloween Witch Broom Treat

When I said it would be late tonight that I'd share a video on how to make the Halloween treat I wasn't kidding.  I love my good intentions. It's like a goal to strive for and re-vamp when it doesn't work out. As you can see I spend a lot of time re-vamping!

Anyhoosie, I finally made it back and I'm excited to share a simple halloween witch broom treat bag. Russ was pretty excited I was teaching you how to make my main form of transportation… My Broom. He's so funny… NOT! Speaking of him, he renamed my piano skeleton.  He said he didn't like the name George. It's now Eddy. Men!

Halloween Paper Bag, Video & Give Away!

It's WACKY WEDNESDAY!

I have LOTS to share and a give away at the bottom of this post! Don't miss out!

I have a FUN "little" paper bag book to show you this morning and I'm really excited about it.  In the past I like to make my kids Halloween treats for their classrooms.  I figured since Brandon's in Middle School, classroom treats were out of the question.   I'll have to come up with a few fun things for his awesome teachers.  With Alexis, although still in Elementary school they don't do any of the fun things like we use to years ago… no dress up, NOTHING!!  I still wanted to make my kiddo's something fun and something that didn't have candy attached.  On page 27 of the Holiday Mini Catalog we have a really fun Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit Bundle that is GREAT to make decorated Treat bags.  It comes with 10 Glassine Bags  that are die cut on the edges and they are ADORABLE.  Check this out-

Today I want to show you something different you can make with this bundle and it's super easy.

Below  you will find the products I used to create this mini paper bag album along with a quick video.

Here are a few tips to help you create one for yourself.

Tip- Bend the Metal Flourish Frames in half to act as a clip to keep the paper bag closed.  Use the Pumpkin Bakers Twine in the kit to thread through the hole and tie a bow.

Tip: Sponge around the edges of each element lightly with Early Espresso ink to give the aged look.

Tip: Insert little coupons into the bag to use the entire month of October. For example, I placed a Spooky Movie night, a Ghost Tour in DC and we had a big surprise by going to Busch Gardens for the Hallow-Scream.  If you have younger kids this is a great way to use as a mini album for pictures of your child in their Halloween Costume this year.  You could always journal on the inside pages of fun memories on Halloween Night.

Products Used:

Stamps: Toxic Treats, Spooky Bingo Bits

Cardstock: Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Lucky Limeade

Ink: Basic Black Craft

Accessories: Rhinestones, Ghoulish Googlies Bundle, 2 1/2" Circle Die Cut, Labels Framelits, Ticket Punch, Clear Embossing Powder, Spritzer Tool Kit, Tangerine Tango Marker, Basic Black Marker, Take a Ticket Wheel, Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP

Preserved Just Right & New Special!

Happy Monday! I've "Preserved" this just for you!  Do you love this little Framelit Die Cut Cannery Set? Not only do I love the Jar, my Prince is from Iowa and he knows all about CORN! LOL.  I loved the little corn on the cob stamp and even better when I have a coordinating die cut for it.  No cutting.  Just stamping and rolling!  Isn't it funny to think back YEARS ago and all cutting we use to do before the Big Shot came into our lives.

Let's talk about today's card share and don't forget to scroll down to the bottom to see another amazing deal that Stampin' Up! came out with today.

I loved using the Early Espresso Core'dinations on this card with the Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder.  When you gently swipe over the Core'dinations cardstock with your sanding block it gives a nice "Rustic" appeal to it.  Making the card look preserved.  The stamp set Perfectly Preserved will make a great set for those of you that love to can.  I wish I had that talent.  I think I canned Apple Sauce when I was about 18 yrs old and never did it again.  I love homemade jelly – especially blackberry or Raspberry.  Top that on a nice big biscuit and I'm in HEAVEN!  Oh yummo!  Now I'm starving just thinking about that.

Let's get to the details of the card!

Tip: I added my Victoria lace onto the side of the Jar with Glue Dots and then placed the Jar Lid on top of it to give the effect it was wrapped around the lid.  When trying to tie the Linen Thread to the top of the jar, put a piece of the clear tape or sticky strip to keep the Linen Thread in place while you tie your bow.  This will prevent the thread from moving around.

Supplies Used:

Stamps: Perfectly Preserved

Ink: Early Espresso, Summer Starfruit, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black Craft ink

Cardstock: Early Espresso Core'dinations, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Island Indigo, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Cannery Set, Natural Buttons, Linen Thread, Orchard Harvest DSP, Woodgrain Textured Embossing Folder, Victoria Lace, Paper Piercer, Dimensionals
