Coming and Going!

Nope, not talking about my life! However there is a bit of that going on.  I've been cleaning out my stamp room more as we get closer to the big move date.  While I still have things up and running and a few events going this week, it looks a little bleak in my little paradise.  At least that's what a few friends tell me.  <sniff>

What I mean by that title is that the Retired List is out and the new stuff is coming.  I received my preorder early last week and I have been stamping like a crazy woman.  Tonight I want to share a few things that are leaving as well as a few sneak peeks.

I started this card by using the Scallop Die Cut for the Big Shot to make the base of the card.  I used a new In Color called Pear Pizzaz.  It's so pretty.  Very soft.  Then I used the Clear Circle Die Cut and cut a piece of Early Espresso and Blushing Bride.  I love this color combination.  It's fun and reminds me of Spring.  Using Early Espresso ink (NEW Favorite of mine!) I wheeled the Posy Party Builder Wheel across the Early Espresso cardstock. (Posy Party (builder) 118615 $4.50) I rolled the Blushing Bride cardstock circle with the Polka Dot embossing folder. *I love this folder. * I cut the embossed Blushing Bride in half and then  adhered that to the Early Espresso cardstock. I wrapped Very Vanilla ribbon around the card and then adhered onto the cardstock base using dimensionals.  The focal point of the card I used a new Rectangle Scallop Clearlit and rolled this using Kraft cardstock.  The top layer has the Bitty Button collection and I used the Bitty Button Punch Pack to get the punches under the buttons.  Add a little linen thread or embroidery floss and it's super cute and fun.  I added the pearls from the Pretties kit.  This is retiring.  A little painful.  YIKES.  The sentiment comes from Fundamental Phrases.  GREAT SET.

I'm looking forward to this week.  I have lots of friends coming to stamp with me.  This always means lots of laughs and giggles.

Elegant and Simple

I love the stamp set Elements of Style and the extreme elegance this set brings.  It's beautiful.  Tonight I made a TON of cards to send to people that I haven't contacted in awhile due to my crazy household schedule.  It's actually quite shameful!  I needed a simple card to make but I wanted it to be elegant.  The card I am going to show you is one I've seen around the blog world, however I changed it up just a bit.  I actually pulled the sewing machine out tonight (YES, Simple just went out the DOOR!) and made this card I hope you like! I have quite a few versions!

All of the cards are basically the same.  The only things that changed was the ribbon or the Sentiment.  I also used a different color of ink on one of the Butterflies.  The butterflies (Die Cut from the Beautiful Butterflies Die) were inked with either Basic Black or Chocolate Chip Craft ink and then embossed with Clear EP. The base cardstock is Confetti.  I used that because it was thick and strong since I wouldn't have many layers on this card.  The sentiments were used from Stampin' Up! Rub ons and Teeny Tiny Wishes. The buttons come from the Playground buttons.    Again, these were pretty quick and simple.

Another day accomplished. Phew! Have a GREAT Thursday!

Fairy Dust & More

Still stampin' away here in my little room.  Doing a little packing and cleaning and then more stamping.

I pulled out a new stamp set A Little Bit of Magic (118613) from the new Summer Mini and I love it.  There is something about Fairy's that I love.  Every year we go to the Renaissance Festival with the kids.  I think I am more excited than anyone, but I love to see all the Fairy's and how they interact with the kids. They are just awesome.  Here is one of my favorite fairy's—->

Alexis gets all dressed up every year when we go.  I cannot find the picture of course, but here is a picture of our favorite fairy at the festival.

So, my love of fairy's went into this card.   They are pretty magical!

Of course lots of glitter and shimmer mist is on this card.  I loved watercoloring her.

Now, here are a few of the workshop cards we did at my Demonstrator Event last weekend.  I have more… don't worry.

Here is the Briefcase Book!

I hope you've had the chance to pour through the Summer Mini Occasions Catalog and see how many great products are in this catalog.  Once of my favorite products from this mini and the last have been the On Board Chipboard books.  They make fantastic gifts or great little mini albums you can scrapbook ONE entire story or moment.

For my Demonstrator event this past weekend our theme was Passport for Success.  All my demonstrators have a success story.  This book is meant to be motivational and inspirational when they just need that extra lift.  Don't we all need that?  I love quotes and have them all over my stamp room.  Some of the quotes are my own.  A famous one would be, "Get off your BUTT and WORK!" Or the other famous quote I like to use, "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it!"  I've said this to myself many times this year!

Anyways, I want to share with you the inside of the book.  I hope you can copy and make your own Motivational Quote book or make a Travel book for your Summer Travels.  Even if you're having a Staycation, document it. We are always making MEMORIES!

Double Post Wednesday!

Crazy, isn't it?  Two posts in one day from little ole me?  Okay, let's get right to some of the other projects I have created.  I am so excited to share with you.  It feels so good to just stamp the last few days.  YIPPIE!!!

I love the Stamp set Sense of Time (113804).  It has so many great uses for all kinds of projects.  I thought this fit perfect for some old photos from earning my FIRST Founders Circle.  It was QUITE the moment.  :)   I used the Extra-Large Cogs Double punch (118873) which is so fun and matched this stamp set perfect.  To make the coordinating even BETTER, I used a piece from the Cog On Board Book (117237) and stamped the cogs from the stamp set using Basic Black ink randomly over it.  The circle chipboard piece also came from the center of that Cog Chipboard piece and I stamped the sentiment from the stamp set onto it.  The alphabet stamp I used is called Contempo (111570) and it's a perfect alphabet set to scrapbook with.  This page is a 12×12 layout.

I have tons of stamped images that are tossed into a bucket that either were rejects or just never used for one reason or another.  Who really knows why.  Anyways, I pulled that bucket out and put this card together.  The stamped image comes from Friends 24/7.  I used the Frost Shimmer Paint and mixed it with Bermuda Bay reinker.  I took a foam brush and gently tapped the colored paint onto the stamp and then stamped it onto Kraft cardstock.  It's so pretty in person.  The Rub On's are from Chit Chat again.  I <3 them.

Okay, last project for tonight is a card using the new stamp set from the Summer Mini called Sentimental Journey (120075).  What a fun stamp set.  I also used the Travel Journal DSP (117156).  Great paper for both cards and scrapbook pages.

Well, that's all I have for today.  More coming tomorrow.  Yippie!!!  Tomorrow I will share the pages from the Briefcase On Board Book.  Stay tuned and have a GREAT night.
