Bringing Color Back
My title sounds like a Justin Timberlake song, "Bringing Sexy Back" however I'm not talking sexy! I'm talking about bringing color back. How about Color Challenges!
Here is the thing, I love color & I love a good challenge. So why did I let go of the challenges? I didn't think you liked them. Truth!
Then I started hearing from a few of you that YOU did like them. Imagine my smile. Pretty cheesy actually.
So… I'm bringing the color challenge back. It's going to be a bit different. I love to find color inspiration all over the internet, magazines, and even while I'm out and about.
Once I have the color inspiration I love the fun of going to my Stampin' Up! color palette and making it work the Stampin' Up! way.
Are you in? I hope so. We can all be inspired by color.
I found this beautiful color palette from The Ardent Sparrow.
I think the Stampin' Up! colors would be:
So Saffron
Crushed Curry
Calypso Coral
Melon Mambo
Strawberry Slush (not pictured yet)
You don't have to use all the colors. Choose 3!
Leave a link to your project in my comments section.
I can't wait to see what you do with these colors.
I'll be posting a new Color Challenge on Fridays. This gives us a weekend to play and enjoy.
Time for a card share or TWO!
I'm using the Postage Collection stamp set again. I love the tiny images and it works great with the Artisan Label punch.
Check out this new DSP called Birthday Basics. Do you love the bikes? I would like one of my own.
Stamp set: Postage Collection (New Hostess Set) Cardstock: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Ink: Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral

Time to share a little MORE!
I'm excited to be a part of a fun Virtual Swap. I have beautiful cards to share with you.
I love how this demonstrator used the new Washi Tape on our Butterfly Die Cut. Just place your Washi Tape over the die cut and trim.
Our new Tag a Bag Gift Boxes are going to be a really big hit. They are simple and easy to decorate and will make your gift packaging simplistic. What do you think? I love how this demonstrator used our new Gingham Garden DSP around the box. It's a happy gift.

Special Memory Box
Over the weekend I posted on my Facebook page a few products that I had sitting on my desk. I've been wanting to make this project FOREVER! I'm excited to show it to you today!
I wanted to make my kids something special. A little trinket box with fun memories of Mom. I used a tin that I purchased from HERE years ago. It's perfect for this project. On the front I used one of our bottle caps (aka Soda Pop Tops #129388) and placed a photo inside. You will want to watch the video below because it's a fun technique using pattern paper along with your photo. If you look closely you can see the words "winner" coming through our faces. I love how this turned out.
On the inside of the tin I created these tiny little envelopes that fit a 2 x 3 piece of cardstock or in my case a small photo inside. These tiny envelopes are all made using our Scallop Envelope Die Cut. *OH MY WORD* They are the cutest things ever and worked PERFECT for this project. You can see how I made these on the video as well. *I will note on the video I tell you to cut the small scallop edge off. While it's not necessarily a MUST… if you cut the scallop like I show in the video you can reuse the scallop as I've done above on the first envelope. Again, watch the video and this will make more sense.
Here you can see the little photos I've tucked into the envelopes. Do you notice a little sneak peek of a product? Look closely! *wink*

Stampin’ Up!’s Boutique Boxes Designer Kit
In true Kimberly fashion I found another product that was sitting close to my desk for awhile and had not touched it. I've been eyeballing it wondering what exactly I would do with Stampin' Up!'s Boutique Boxes Designer KIt. When I finally opened up the kit and started playing with it I instantly fell in love. The colors are perfect and trendy and just what you see in your big Decorating Stores. I added the Fine Feathers stamp set to the mix and WOW!
It's really a little treasure of a kit that is almost secretly hidden. For just 7.95 you are getting a wealth of fun products from the sweet boxes, array of buttons and a beautiful Linen Thread you will find no where else.
The Jots & Thoughts is an image from the Paper Pumpkin Subscription. If you haven't joined, check it out today.
I used Stampin' Up!'s Notecards to make the card above.
Here is a quick video of this treasure kit and a few things I had fun making with it.
This simple card uses one of the Feathers from the kit as well as a Summer Starfruit button and Twine from the kit. So simple when using it on our Notecards.
Here is one last card using the kit and stamp set paired together:
This is a full sized card using another image from the Paper Pumpkin Subscription.
For this card I started with our Naturals White Cardstock and added the die cut flower and and a feather from the Fine Feathers stamp set.
I love the fine stationery feel of this card and overall, just simple and fast to put together when you need to reproduce a lot of cards.
Below you will find all the supplies used to make these fun projects!

Rainbow Wash & Watercoloring
When I see a rainbow I think it's so magical. When we lived in Colorado I swear there were two magical things I would see more of, rainbows and shooting stars. Both always made me stop in my tracks and both just make you say WOW!
Today I'm sharing a simple little card I'm calling the Rainbow Wash. I love how Stampin' Up! products can make me feel like an artist, stop me in my tracks and make me go WOW! Enjoy Valentines with Stampin’ Up!
Are you ready for Valentines Day? Today I am going to share a few Stampin' Up! products that make Valentines Day even sweeter.
Banners are still a hot trendy element on any project. For this card I created a banner that fits across the top of the card using some of my FAVORITE products such as the Artisan Embellishment kit and the More Amour DSP. This card was made even easier because the greeting is already on the DSP. I just trimmed it perfectly to fit the card front. To finish my banner at the top I used the Hearts a Flutter stamp set with the coordinating framelits and BAM… it's complete. Another trinket I love are they Cute Clips. I used the "Hung Up-#129389" and I love the little thought bubble. You may remember I used them for the Dress Forms on this post HERE.
Are you ready to start creating fun Valentines cards with the Hearts a Flutter set and Coordinating Framelits?
